We visited for a Saturday lunch and opted for the set two courses @ £16. The Exe mussels in a chilli sauce was delicious and the pan roasted cod for main was filling enough for us not to want dessert. The service was friendly and efficient. The only slight whinge was that it was a bit chilly but it was... More

This is the second time in as many months that the four of us have eaten here, all 3 courses looked and tasted heavenly. The down side was this very cosy restaurant was ruined by the over powering smell of cooked fish & chips oil. On returning home all our clothes and hair needed to be washed as we smelt... More

We ate here on Monday and had three courses which were all outstanding!!! The host is so welcoming and enjoys what he does! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good local produce that tastes fan static and is presented beautifully!

My partner and I came here for an anniversary meal and had a faultless experience. The service was attentive, but without the feeling of being constantly interrupted or intrusive. Set in a small, old fashioned building the atmosphere was relaxed but professional. The biggest praise however must be spared for the food itself. A specialist in fresh local fish, the... More

We had a lovely meal tonight at The Galley, staff were friendly and efficient, every course we had was delicious. An extra bonus was the music 50/60's not intrusive but urge to sing along is overwhelming, we requested a cd but don't think they have had time! The only thing missing is a dance floor. Go and try they deserve... More

By far the best experience I have had eating out in a restaurant. The food must be tried, the menu is always interesting and made using the freshest ingredients. The attention to detail is like no other. Has great atmosphere. Will be looking forward to going back again soon.

Couldn't recommend this restaurant more highly. Decided to go having seen other ratings on trip advisor and so glad we did. Great menu, food was excellent (we all had three courses) and the friendly, professional service was wonderful. The venue was in a lovely location and had a lovely ambience. Hope to go back when next visiting.
