Local cuisine at its best

When visiting Frasassi caves, or the new "Parco Avventura" on the river Sentino, take a break and go eat at "Da Maria". You will find local cuisine at its best. I would recommend "antipasti misti" and "pappardelle al cinghiale". If not enough, go for a "grigliata mista". After all of that, have a... read more

Located in wonderful surroundings with spectacular view down the valley, they prepare fantastic food. The selection in the menu has several local specialties and the truffles of season is always represented. The raviolini with truffles was outstanding!

This was an amazing dining experience in a beautiful mountain-top village. We asked Gabriella to tell the chef we felt as if we had died and gone to heaven after eating our three-course meal. We started with Fonduta Assortita (assorted cheese fondue - plain cheese, mushroom and minced truffles). It was better than we could have ever imagined. For our... More

We were staying in Cerreto d'Esi and were given a "flyer" in the car park for the Frasassi Caves. Based on the list of dishes we decided to try this place for dinner and it was worth the drive. We arrived early but more diners arrived gradually during the evening, and we think that they were locals. The food was... More

We went to Da Maria's on a recommendation and weren't disappointed. Excellent local food, I personally had the Antipasti followed by the Wild Boar which was brillant and Chocolate tart to finish including cafe corretto. Service was good and informative, ambience great and for an out of the way place it was busy on a mid week lunchtime, showing it... More

Excellent local food with average prices. We were three and had many different courses, all of them well presented and with the taste you would expect in a traditional restaurant. Suggested to everybody!

We visited the place after Caves of Frasassi. We asked our gide to recommend some good place, but she refused to promote any venue. Then we told that we are new in this place and we just want to eat good and she said that Da Maria was a good place to eat. And it was! I have never seen... More

After a long drive from our hotel to the Frasassi caverns (something you will regret missing if you're in the Marche and don't visit) we were ravenous, so using Trip Advisor looked for something nearby. Da Maria is up a long and windy mountain road about 15 minutes from the caves, but don't fret: What awaits you at the end... More
