The parking isn't great, not a lot of places to park. But it's worth trying to get here. The fish & chips are amazing! The sweet potato fries, beer are good & so is their coleslaw (I don't like coleslaw, but ate this). The bread pudding was wonderful with their homemade sauce (you can get this to go). We ate... More

On the way back from Vikingsholm in Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe, we stopped at Murphy's. We enjoy checking out local restaurants - what fun is there in taking a trip and just eating at chains? Murphy's Irish Pub is a hidden gem. From an indoor restaurant area to an outside porch and garden, nestled among the Tahoe pines, it's the... More

This place is just fun. Sit inside or out, all seating is good. I prefer inside because I like a table and a good chair. The onion rings are great, and they are huge hand-cut rings with a wonderful homemade batter. The burgers are burgers and enough said. They do have a crab and shrimp napoleon salad with a tangy... This place does exactly what it say: an Irish pub with food. Full bar with a couple of Irish beers on tap. Solid pub food including traditional favorites like fish and chips, shepherd's pie and bangers and mash. Service was friendly and efficient. To top it off the night we were there they had live music playing a load of... More

The food here is great! I got the Murphy's Burger, and it was excellent. The only issue was the slightly slow service. I think they must have been short a cook, because after a while the food started to come out much faster. We also got to enjoy some live music- a couple guys with guitars played for a while... More

Having been to Ireland, this pub looks like it was picked up in Dublin and set down at Lake Tahoe. The menu reflects typical Irish Pub fare mixed with American standards. I had the Shepard's Pie which was very good and my friend had a reuben sandwich which he thought was the best he has had in a long while.... More

We had a pleasant visit to Murphy's. The service was good and food was good and most important...the beer was cold. We didn't walk in expecting a 5-star restaurant and as a result we were not disappointed. The outdoor seating/yard was great. Would I go back for some more PUB GRUB? Yes!

We visited on a Tuesday night and received quick service in the bar, not bad prices for drinks, and really good prices on tacos. I asked to have my tortilla and fried cod separate for the fish taco; fish was great, jalapeno cole slaw quite tasty. Hubby's blackened chicken taco also abundant and delicious. Nice fireplace with chess set and... More
