We had a wonderful dinner at Bluewater Bistro with a beautiful sunset view. The food was delicious and the service was great. My wife is a vegetarian and they made sure she knew all the options available to her. It's not an inexpensive place to eat but we certainly thought it was worth it. more

One thing I dislike more than anything is being served food that has sat too long it arrives at my table cold. And this is exactly what occurred when we dined at the Bluewater Bistro. Granted the view is extremely nice and sitting outside on a warm evening under the heated lamps is enjoyable. However, the prices are really rather... more

We stopped here to dine using a $17 coupon in the Entertainment Book. Prices listed on their menu in the book (this was a 2009 book) were like $16.95 for halibut and chips. The menu at the restaurant listed the same meal for $24.95! In this economy places are dropping their prices, not increasing them by 50% in a year.... more

This place is in the Lake- on a pier, There is outside dining and second floor seating. the bar looks out into the sunset. The food is excellent with some different styles of cooking. Not a bad seat in the house as long as someone doesn't block your view standing outside on the balcony n front of your table. Not... more

We went in August for an early dinner and it was too hot to sit outside. We were seated inside by the window and there was a shade to screen out the bright sun, but it was still too warm for me. The food was great--the fresh fish was perfect! Next time I would go at sunset or after. Very... more

The location is superb as others have noted. The food is pretty good if a bit overpriced or at least, "pricey." With these good things going for it, you would think the restaurant would try to have its waiter/bartender act together, no? NO! All the waitpeople also must make their own drinks. This is a problem. First of all, there's... more

We ate here our last night in Tahoe because of the beautiful view. It was pretty expensive for the food and service. The table we were seated at was dirty and the staff tried to wipe away the old food and set our table with water and flatware. The food was okay, the view was great. We ordered appetizers only... more

When we initally heard about the Blue Water Bistro, we dropped by to learn more. Upon arrival we decided that it looked a little worse for wear compared to other restaurants on the shore of Lake Tahoe. Several trips later we decided to give it a try. The food was okay, but nothing to rave about especially for what they... more

My sister and I had a wonderful experience at the Bluewater Bistro. The service was great, and the food was outstanding! Being a vegetarian, I appreciated the many options of unique dishes offered. We made reservations for a table on the deck, and were a bit apprehensive about sitting outside for our meal as the day was cloudy and rainy.... more

This restaurant bills itself as a fine dining establishment, however we knew we were in trouble when they served margarine with the artesan bread as we waited for our meal. My party waited for a set of silverware well into the serving of the appetizers. We asked a server but she did not speak english and we had a minor... more
