In Tahoe July of 2007. Found the Red Hut and it was the best little, quaint place we ate at the entire trip! We loved it so much the first day that we went there every day after for breakfast and to get our day started. My husband and I ALWAYS somehow find that one little unforgettable place on vacations,... More

We stopped into this restaurant twice for breakfast while in S. Lake Tahoe. Prices were reasonable and the food was very good. It's a busy place so be prepared to wait if you arrive a little later in the morning. As it was we were there around 07:30 and still had a 5 to 10 mintue wait for a table... More

Our group enjoyed Sunday breakfast at the Red Hut located at the base of Ski Run Boulevard. The omelets were huge and tasty. I especially liked the sausage patties which were quite lean for sausage. Pancakes were big and tasted great. We arrived at a busy time and had to wait for a table, but it was worth the wait.... More

We had ice cream, sodas and floats -- 2 days in a row. The staff was a lot of fun and the food was excellent.

The family and I ate their in Feb. 2010. We waited 40 minutes to be seated but it was lunch time. It's a 'Mel's Diner' type of food and service restaurant. Good, friendly service despite getting my order totally wrong. Food was alright...again it was like eating at a restaurant my dad used to take me too 30 years ago.

We ate at The New Red Hut Cafe as the wait at The Original was too long. We still had to wait about 30 minutes on a Saturday for a table for four. The atmosphere is cheerful and fun and the service was prompt and upbeat. The food however, was fairly boring and didn't taste very fresh. For a place... More

As you drive by on Lake Tahoe Blvd, this place looks kind of generic and sterile, but I would encourage you to stop. Very fun and unique on the inside with a good, old fashioned soda fountain. LIked the ice cream we got. Was not there for a meal. Also, if you are interested, they have some very good t-shirts... More

Showed up here a little before 10 on Sunday morning, and were seated immediately. This location is right across the street from Lake Tahoe Vacation Resort at the foot of Ski Run Boulevard. It's pretty new, and has an open, airy feel with cathedral ceilings and a vintage chair lift overhead. All the servers are young and hip, and wearing... More

Went here last week. It started out nice, but... my sister ordered a tuna melt, actually was a mayo melt with a little tuna, she asked for some lettuce and tomato which normally comes with one and got a piece of brown lettuce and two slices of runny tomato which when we got the bill was charged for (may want...
