I'm usually in Tahoe to snow ski and make it a point to stop by the Red Hut (either in South Lake or Stateline, both are great) to fuel up before hitting Heavenly for a big day. I can only speak to their breakfasts, but they are fabulous, with huge omelets, pancakes and French toast, hash browns done just right... More

The omelette I had here was excellent-huge, expertly cooked, and with lots of fillings. With Lake Tahoe being a resort town it seems like there are lots of places to get ripped off--this is not one of them. The hash browns were addictive, the servers were super-friendly, and the prices are reasonable. My daughter had one of the kids meals... More

The food was nothing out of the ordinary for being diner food, but the service made our visit so great. We were starving, the waiter immediately took our order, and we were served in less than 10 minutes. Dishes I'd recommend: the bacon waffle, the patty melt, and the veggie burger. **we tried to go for breakfast but the wait... More

We spent four days in Tahoe and had breakfast at a different place each morning: Driftwood Cafe, Heidi's, A Cup of Cherries, and Red Hut. The overall family favorite was Red Hut. Among the four of us we had two omlettes, one order of pancakes and one order of waffles. We also had a bowl of local berries (strawberries, blueberries,... More

Stayed four nights in Tahoe and had four breakfasts. This was the best breakfast we had. (The review is for just out one dining experience.) We must have hit the timing right because we didn't have to wait. (There were only two of us, so that might have helped.) When we left, there was a wait to get in. And... More

We ate here two days in a row for breakfast. Food was delicious both days. Service was great and prices were very reasonable.

We had a really good breakfast and it didn't cost as much as some nearby restaurants. The staff is attentive and friendly, the place is informal, clean and pleasant. I would definitely come here again for breakfast.

Red Hut has great food at reasonable prices. The service is prompt and friendly. I ordered the grilled avocado cheese and tomato sandwich and it hit the spot. My husband loves the bacon waffle.

We went in for breakfast and noticed the specials listed on the board. They had a $4.00 special that consisted of 2 eggs, pancakes, and bacon. It was good and for only $4.00 that is a deal that can't be beat! The server was very friendly and the service quick.
