This is my neighborhood cafe. They sell Christian's (our local genius bean importer/roaster) 's beans. So I come here to get them because of the convenient location. The young staff are very friendly, giving excellent service. They brew Christian's Alpen Sierra brand coffee expertly, the way he recomends and the temperature is always right on, so I indulge in a... more

We found this cafe using our GPS and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was especially friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. It was a wonderful place to have breakfast with a nice, cozy atmosphere. The portions were plentiful for your money. Personally, I would recommend the Italian sodas! more

The first thing you will notice when you approach Tahoe Java are the inviting painted tables outside with a local artist's depiction of our beautiful Lake! Tahoe Java offers excellent food but even better service and employees. I walked in and immediately felt welcome and cozy. Charlie1013- I think you should give it a second chance. Greasy Denny's food doesn't compare to healthy, freshly made breakfast and lunch. more

After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, I was excited to take the family to Tahoe Java Café. While the menu looked promising, the food lacked any real favor. The portion size was small; the three egg scramble for $5.50 didn’t even come hash browns. Next time I think I will make breakfast home. The Chai latte was good, however.... more

This place has it all. The coffee is good, the food is unique and great, and the banana bread is the biggest reason to come. It is everything you want out of a small coffee shop/ deli in a small mountain townWe visit Tahoe about 4 times a year and we come here every time. more

Tahoe Java Cafe is the pefect place to start your day. With freindly service great coffee included light and dark roast and things like homemade banana bread. The cafe has espresso drinks, smoothies, breakfast sandwiches and lots of tasty sandwich choices. The cafe also offers internet conection and a few tables to sit and catch up with the local chatter. more
