We wanted to spend out July 4th in a good restaurant. I think that we eated in one of the best restaurant that we have never been. The food, the service are simply fantastic. Being french, we usually expect more than average. The quality of the recipies, the look are perfect whatever the dish. more

Evan's staff was the most friendly & attentive group of people I have ever encountered. Each of them waited on us at one point or another, we never had to ask for anything, they offered it to us before we had the chance!! Chef Jimmy prepared an exceptional meal, we also had the pleasure of talking with him after dinner,... more

Evan's was exceptional in almost every respect. The service was not only courteous, but engaging, fun, and flawless. The food, from appetizer to dessert was a notch above any restaurant I can name in the same price range from New York to San Francisco. Presentation was also great. An example of the service and attention to detail was Chef Jimi... more

Great restaurant with a very up- to - date and inventive menu. Very good value for your money ( and it is a restaurant on the expensive side). Clearly and by far the best restaurant in South Lake Tahoe more

I ate at Evan's for the first time while visiting Lake Tahoe last week. It was overall a delightful and delicious experience. The building was once a small house now converted into a cosy and intimate restaurant. Our meals were presented with artistic flair and each course was as tasty as the next. I have several food allergies which Chef... more

The first time we visited Evans was in 1996. In all the years we've been going there we have had only the best quality food so we were not at all surprised that his most recent visit was amazing. Started with sharing the pumpkin ravioli special. Two giant raviolis stuffed with pumpkin and carmelized onion, topped with carmelized pecans. This... more

Let's face it... SLT is a resort town and the food offerings are average, at best. Evan's is a truly fine dining and a monumental alternative to the mediocrity. And it doesn't hurt that Candace, the hostest, is as elegant as the food is delicious. What a find. Highly recommended. more

Four of us had dinner there in January. The meal was simply extraordinary. The menu was interesting, the presentation beautiful and the food refined and creative, This restaurant competes with the best in France. The decor is nothing special but quaint and nice enough. The service was efficient and friendly. Dinner at Evan's cafe is an experience not to be... more
