good spot for warm chinese food

You'll find this restaurant about a mile from stateline. The food is very good and the prices are average. The portions of their dishes are a bit on the smaller size, so you can try more of the menu. Dinner time can be busy especially if a few large groups show up. Get your order in before they do... read more

The soup didn't have enough taste. But the string beans with beef , and chow fun were very good. Service was fast. The place can use a change in color. No ambience for sure. It's like eating in a cafeteria.

This is like Chinese restaurants used to be - large quantities of mainly Cantonese food with plenty of fresh veggies, apparently served by very attentive family members. My wife and I enjoyed our dinners very much, ordered one for take-out, and there was plenty of food for the other four members of our family back at the rented condo. Low... More

We were hungry for Chinese food and we found this place by driving around the area not too far from our hotel. This place is surprisingly good. Great and prompt service, fair price, big portions, and kid-friendly. All the food we ordered were done right, won ton soup, lemon chicken, deluxe vegetables, and lover's shrimps. They're all delicious. And, we'd... More

I ordered Egg Foo Young which had plenty of vegetables. However, the egg foo young patty was to thin and the gravy sauce was to watery. It was like a soup. Have tasted and had better Egg Foo Young.

This moderately priced restaurant is really exceptional for families. We had dinner for eight, and got to sample eight different Chinese entrees, including chow mein (soft noodles), a spicy beef and broccoli dish, pineapple chicken, sweet and sour, and others, with fried rice, egg rolls, really good soups, won tons, etc as accompaniments. It was all very tasty, served promptly... More

My husband and I have been eating here for years. We don't have a lot of choices in town for this type of food, so we WERE pretty loyal about eating here. My son and daughter in law were in town, it was cold outside, & they wanted soup. I ordered War Wonton Soup with $3.00 extra wonton. My son... More

I have to say that I love "Salt & Pepper". It's the whole shrimp, with (head, tail) all of it prepared in a fabulous fashion. I move 4 hours away three years ago and whenever I had a chance I would stop by my old place (4 hours away). Well ... I asked if they would have that dish in... More

The is a small place but the food is really good. We had the Special Family Dinner for two. There was so much food, we brought the rest home and had it for dinner the next night. It was $15.50per person. That is a real bargain especially if you get 2meals out of it. I would highly recommend this place... More

We have been going to Tahoe for decades and we liked to eat here. Accent on the past tense. When we went recently for lunch it was dirty and the food had deteriorated significantly. They diluted the soup to the point where it was really just water. You did get a large portion but that doesn't do you any good... More
