We spent 4 nights enjoying a lot of good restaurants, but this was the very best meal. It's very small and you need reservations in advance, but that adds to the ambiance. They start off asking if you want French bread or garlic bread. $4 extra for the garlic, but was glad we did it. The other bread also comes... More

Our son recommended this quaint restaurant and it was the perfect spot for our last night in Tahoe. We had a 7:30 reservation but had inquired if we could come in at 7. We were incredibly impressed to get a call the afternoon of our reservation asking if we were still interested in an earlier table. As there had been... More

The food at this restaurant was fantastic. We had the veal piccata and the chicken pomodoro. Both were wonderful. The minestrone soup was light with lots of veggies. Garlic bread was lightly toasted with a hint of cheese and garlic. And we had the handmade white chocolate ice cream, which was hands down the best we have had in many... More

Met someone on the plane who wasn't enamored with the Lake Tahoe area but recommended this restaurant. We went and loved it. Great food. Only about seven tables to make reservations.

Had heard a lot about this place. It's a small restaurant with only seven tables. The menu was nothing special. The taste of the food itself was only average. Couldn't believe they actually charged extra for a little basket of garlic bread. Service was very disappointing. It was as if they would rather cater to the locals.

Ok, the place is not inexpensive. But here you get something for your money. The ambiente was very good. The service also. But outstanding for such a little place: the cook. What a jewel in the "wilderness". We had different food, and beside one dish that was unexpected in the way it was created (and this was in my opinion... More

This really is one of the best dinners I have ever had! Service was great, everyone was very nice. Small restaurant with personal attention. Not pretentious at all, formal but without a lot of pomp. Menu has a very good variety without being overwhelming on the choices. Water was bottled, not chlorine flavored tap (a pet peeve), fresh and cold.... More

Delightful Italian restaurant with a terrific wine list. It is a tiny place. Since we were there in the summer, we were able to take advantage of the outdoor seating. The eggplant en carrozza was delicious. i usually avoid fried foods, but it truly was lightly breaded and the sauce was terrific. I had the pasta with sausage and my... More

Our third trip to Cafe Fiore made it worth a fourth. Small restaurant with few tables, but, somehow, the spacing is fine. I tend to like more space but I don't find this to be a problem here and in the summer sitting outside is an option. The food this time around was not quite up to the stellar levels... More

Probably my favorite restaurant in Lake Tahoe. Great food for a reasonable price. Only 7 tables inside, so make reservations. There is outside seating during the summer. Large selection of wine splits, as well as regular bottle sizes.
