The "Camp Richardson complex" includes a general store a coffee house and an ice cream store. The Ice cream store is a local favorite for good reason. We waited in line at least 20 minutes and every time we drove by during our trip there was always a long line. Very good ice cream.

a fun stop

Ice cream is just an important part of any vacation, and this spot is conveniently located and quite charming. The servings are huge, way too big- but amusingly so, and it's fun to have a huge amount of ice cream on occasion. My family enjoyed the flavor and creaminess of the ice cream. We were... read more

We always stop here after renting bikes at Anderson's Bike Rental. This is the perfect treat after a long bike ride through the beaches and Taylor Creek. I think they put an entire Pint of ice cream in each scoop! I got a double cone and was almost sorry... well not really because it was awesome! The lines are almost... More

Out here, so far from any dairy, I didn't expect decent ice cream, let alone good quality and a respectable selection. There may not be 31 flavors, but there ae 18 or 20 including some special, temporary offerings. The ice cream is very good and the prices are FABULOUS, making it well worth the lines that exist most of the... More

Always saw the long lines in front of this ice cream store. Finally stopped by to stand in line, too! We visited twice in one week! Order the waffle cone - we selected two different flavors. Large enough for two adults to share! Fun atmosphere, inside and out. Chatted with other great customers there, too.

The ice cream from this shop is very good. Better than store bought and better than other store chains. Very smooth and well flavored. I had coffee, vanilla & mint chip at various times. All were good. Generous scoops are given. The double scoop serving is quite filling. I had others buying me ice cream (lucky me!), so I didn't... More

Everyone loved this ice cream stop! Huge ice cream cones at reasonable prices. Go for the waffle cone! We went before lunch and did not encounter any lines.

Every year we have to stop and get an ice cream, but you better be hungry- they give healthy portions. Sometimes the line is pretty long, but it is so worth the wait!

Every time we drive past this ice cream store the line is so long. So we thought they must have amazing ice cream. We decided to swing by one time in Tahoe and in the long line all the while thinking we were getting some awesome stuff. We get to the counter only to find out they sell Crystal ice... More

The best ice cream we had in LT. You know your in for a treat when the line is 30+ people deep. Don't miss out. My one complaint is that I think this the only location in Lake Tahoe. They need a store in the north and south Tahoe. Killer ice cream.

We come here on every Tahoe trip but don't come after a full meal because the kids cone is the size of a triple from most places. The ice cream is fantastic. There is usually a line out the door but it moves very fast or you could go in the evening around 7-8 and walk right up. They have... More
