Cuisines: Ice Cream
Description: The "Camp Richardson complex" includes a general store a coffee house and an ice cream store. The Ice cream store is a local favorite for good reason. We waited in line at least 20 minutes and every time we drove by during our trip there was always a long line. Very good ice cream.

We arrived at around 2pm on a Saturday and the line was out the door. While it was quite slow to finally get to the front - it was worth the wait. I had the coconut ice cream and pistachio ice cream and boy, it would have to be one of my top favorites of any ice cream i've eaten!... More

While on vacation in Tahoe, we were told by a local that we had to try this ice cream, so we did! It was the perfect stop for a sweet treat after a day at the beach. The line was long. I waited easily 25 minutes to place my order, but once I was at the counter they were efficient... More

We stopped here to have breakfast and were glad we did. The breakfast was very good and the server was able to give us directions to a waterfall we were looking for. While the breakfast was cooking, we were able to shop in the store and came away with some very unique gifts. It is a bit self service as... More

Talk about ice cream! we got the single scoop in a cup and a child scoop on a cone. Wow, huge amount of ice cream, could have easily shared if we knew how big the portions were. The cost for the 3 was $11.00. We had vanilla, mint chocolate chip, pralines and cream and strawberry. We sat outside at the... More

After leaving Emerald Bay, stop by Richardson's Ice Cream Store. Order the "single scoop" cone and be prepared to be blown away. You are handed a cone piled high with at least four or five scoops of your chosen flavor! I hate to see what the double scoop looks like.

Made a stop with my wife and two kids after a short hike around the lake. Went here after we got a recommendation from a few folks on the trail. When we got there, the line was extremely long, out the door and wrapped around inside. Mind you, it was Memorial Day weekend. As the other reviewers stated, the portions... More

We stopped here for an ice cream cone and were so glad we did. The place is quaint and sitting outside was peaceful. The ice cream cone was HUGE and delicious.

As if the beauty of the area weren't enough, with the water, bike paths, and majesty of the mountains, you have an ice cream shop right in the middle of it all. The only downside to this place is the midday traffic and the line to get in. Oh yeah, and the weight increase. But you can exercise that off.

You cannot go to LT on not stop at CR ice cream parlor. The rocky road was amazing and I got a double dipper. Outstanding ice cream. So good we came back the next day. Lines can be long but the serenity of the area were worth it!
