Description: The "Camp Richardson complex" includes a general store a coffee house and an ice cream store. The Ice cream store is a local favorite for good reason. We waited in line at least 20 minutes and every time we drove by during our trip there was always a long line. Very good ice cream.

This place is fantastic. The scoop sizes are insane so unless you are sharing or can eat a ton of ice cream get the kids size!

The lines were out the door so it had to be good. Everyone walked out with giant scoops and happy faces. Even the child’s scoops are large. It was lots of fun with great ice cream. A great stop after riding bikes.

The ice cream is fantastic and the prices not excessive but if you see a line out of the door the wait could be over an hour! It's good but whether its worth such a long wait us debatable ... Try to get there in the morning and waiting times are much less

The icecream here is amazing and they give you enormous portions. This is why there are long lines. But worth the trouble.

We arrived at around 2pm on a Saturday and the line was out the door. While it was quite slow to finally get to the front - it was worth the wait. I had the coconut ice cream and pistachio ice cream and boy, it would have to be one of my top favorites of any ice cream i've eaten!... More

While on vacation in Tahoe, we were told by a local that we had to try this ice cream, so we did! It was the perfect stop for a sweet treat after a day at the beach. The line was long. I waited easily 25 minutes to place my order, but once I was at the counter they were efficient... More

We stopped here to have breakfast and were glad we did. The breakfast was very good and the server was able to give us directions to a waterfall we were looking for. While the breakfast was cooking, we were able to shop in the store and came away with some very unique gifts. It is a bit self service as... More

Talk about ice cream! we got the single scoop in a cup and a child scoop on a cone. Wow, huge amount of ice cream, could have easily shared if we knew how big the portions were. The cost for the 3 was $11.00. We had vanilla, mint chocolate chip, pralines and cream and strawberry. We sat outside at the... More

After leaving Emerald Bay, stop by Richardson's Ice Cream Store. Order the "single scoop" cone and be prepared to be blown away. You are handed a cone piled high with at least four or five scoops of your chosen flavor! I hate to see what the double scoop looks like.

Made a stop with my wife and two kids after a short hike around the lake. Went here after we got a recommendation from a few folks on the trail. When we got there, the line was extremely long, out the door and wrapped around inside. Mind you, it was Memorial Day weekend. As the other reviewers stated, the portions... More
