Attentive, great menu

The place was packed solid, and we came in with a baby, and the staff made room for us and made us feel welcome. Wine was amazing, and the food perfect. Beautiful atmosphere, great vineyard.

The views from the Bistro are stunning and really help to set the mood. I had a very relaxing and enjoyable lunch on Saturday, the food was very good and the staff were very friendly and given how busy it was (there some very large groups there) the service was good.

We just came here for a glass of wine. It was a beautiful day and the staff were so persuasive that we tried the cheese platter which turned out to be so amazing. 3 cheeses each matched with a perfect accompaniment and an ample number of crackers. Great value and service. Only down side was that they did start stacking... More

We love the taste of the food and the wine tasting is just right outside the restaurant. And bistro is something for the taste but the amount is too little. Maybe a little more and we are people with small appetite. Other than that, the wine is great, the scenery is good and the service is alright. Lives up to... More

Fabulous place to eat, felt a little under-dressed after scaling Te Mata Peak.......no need to be concerned though, great service, delicious food and of course lovely wine.

Always a great place for lunch and wine tasting. At the moment they are doing 5 different entrees at $5 each, based on the elements (fire, water, etc.) We had 3 between us and they were great. Interesting flavours and concepts, and amazing value for money. Mains and desserts were more mainstream, but equally tasty and well presented.

The restaurant has a lovely dining area inside but an even nicer dining area outside between all the vines in the courtyard, it was gorgeous. The food was delicious and the wine selection was great too. The staff were great, friendly and accommodating. The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars was because we had ordered bread and... We stopped here to taste wines as it had been recommended by a pourer at another excellent winery in the area, and ended up tasting and staying for lunch. Tasting experience was excellent- facilities are very nice, the woman pouring was personable and knowledgeable and we thought their wines were excellent. As it was past noon we decided to have... Do yourself a favor and drop by this superb venue. Staff are warm and accomodating with efficiency to boot. The meals taste fantastic. I hear people moan of a wait time. This to me is absurd, when their is a fully booked restaurant and you only wait 30 mins for a table of 5 people's meals then there really is... More
