Description: The Harvest Table Bistro in the original mill room pays homage to this...
The Harvest Table Bistro in the original mill room pays homage to this fertile valley’s proud fruit growing legacy. We combine fresh local produce and hearty peasant-style local dishes with influences from further afield, from Cameroon and Zimbabwe to France, Italy or Argentina, giving them a contemporary, modern twist. The Harvest Table is open daily from 08:00 to 17:00 and on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings (other arrangements can be made). Breakfast is served until 11:30. On Sundays the bistro makes way for a full-blown buffet feast with tables groaning under delectable meat dishes, loads of local vegetables, salads and puddings. So be sure to reserve your table for this one, because it is already a firm favourite amongst locals! We are closed on Mondays, but breakfast will be available for hotel guests. A special harvest dish will be served in your room on the evenings that the restaurant is closed.

On a very busy Sunday we enjoyed a fabulous meal! Turkish pizza (deliciously different), just the mains of the Sunday lunch & some kiddies pizzas. Great setting, hospitable host and altogether enjoyable!

Not only was it our first taste of Turkish Pizza - which was heavenly! - but our 10 month old daughter Emma, actually pinched a piece from her dad's mouth and insisted on "sucking" on a slice of her own after that! Our boys also loved the milkshakes (natural flavors..) and feasted on the big breakfasts served in the morning.... More

Great vibe the evening we arrived and it was pretty packed. Service was great with the waiter looking as though he was running ! We were served our drinks straightaway on request and our food was delicous. The presentation was good too as was the local dry red wine.

I had the North Indian lamb curry on the bone and sambals which was most delicious. My husband had a beef hamburger and chips. Real good old fashioned beef pattie, real bread rolls, real chips. None of the fatty modified junk served these days. Really delicious and juicy. Good idea to book over a weekend. Their breakfasts are also great.... More

We visited the Tulbagh and Ceres region on a weekend getaway and was recommended this restaurant by the owner of the cottage we were staying at. What a gem! We enjoyed our dinner there so much on the Friday evening, we returned again for breakfast on Sunday. Both our dinner and breakfast was fantastic. We had the pizza and especially... More

I have had the pleasure of dining here on a number of occasions, with friends family and business trips. There is always a warm welcome, and great local food freshly cooked. There is also a very good selection of award winning local wines. Will be back soon!
