We stopped by here after a day at the Rendezvous Sourdough Festival at about 4pm. We were the only ones in the restaurant and not much food was left and staff were busy cleaning up so I thought that they were closed. I have had sandwiches with more filling, less bread. The bread is good tho. The food is good, not exceptional. The chocolate cake I had from here, at a work function, was extraordinary - and extraordinarily expensive. Not my first choice as is too expensive for a coffee counter experience.

Staff yelling when they have made your latte - it is a very small place so you could hear when it is ready at a far less screaming voice. I do no think the food is that great - the quiche is tasteless and everything is very expensive.

Very busy as we visited during Christmas week. Service was excellent, though. Hot chocolates were delicious & hot. The cake we had was freshly baked & tasted delicious as well. The homemade chocolates look yummy. Looking forward to having lunch there, before I leave Whitehorse! Prices are more expensive than some eateries in a Whitehorse, but worth it as a... More

The food was delicious and coffee was great. We went a few times while visiting Whitehorse and would go again. As most places in Whitehorse, just know, it isn't the cheapest coffee shop.

Give this a try if you want good coffee, fresh French pastries and delicious home style soups. This little restaurant does get busy, so come a bit early for lunch if you can.

I was visiting family in Whitehorse and popped in to buy a chocolate cake. That is one expensive chocolate cake and it wasn't even that good. Disappointed

Chocolate Claim - very impressed with your web site. Even more impressed with your most recent hire. Based on her Revelstoke/Modern Cafe experience, thinking you will be very happy. Go Maggie Go!!

The chocolate cake & coffee is good. The only thing that ruin the experience is the cashier. When asked what type of cake they had, not only did they rolled their eyes, but did not provide the simple answer of chocolate and/or carrot. As a tourist, I'm not a regular customer, and I wasn't able to view what type of... More
