Despite the name - delicious food

Burnt Toast doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't judge a book by its cover or its name! The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and attentive. You get lunch and dinner at an affordable price. Try some local beer and the amazing salads.

Our recent trip to Alaska and the Yukon had a lot of highlights, but amid the memories of scenery and wildlife I will make room for our meal at Burnt Toast. The service was friendly, and the meal was outstanding. I had arctic char, perfectly prepared, and an otherworldly banana fritter.

Loved this café, went many times during my stay in Whitehorse and was really close to my hotel (Westmark).

Everything is delicious here! The weekend brunch is terrific with a great choice of dishes and the wonderful sour dough bread. Reasonable prices and the staff work hard to make sure you are pleased with your food. Great place. We ate there 4 times while in Whitehorse.

Refreshing to have a server that was just honest & genuine (not working or dressed for tips) To start: Roasted Beets, Pears and Goat Cheese Salad. The maple glaze was delicious. Me: Jambalaya. Certainly not the traditional Cajun variety I love but similar ingredients that did NOT disappoint. Spouse: Elk and Blueberry Sausage. We were going to split our meals... More

We stumbled upon this little place and had some great breakfasts there. The food was good and the service was friendly. One of those unique little local restaurants that are fun to eat at!

Great food, great staff. Burgers were excellent. Nachos were delicious. Reasonably priced. We went here twice during our visit to Whitehorse and I would go back again!

I was in Whitehorse before tourist season, and was looking for a place within walking distance of the backpackers. The name is a bit misleading, as they have a delightful menu, and the food is delicious. I took my server's recommendation and had a burger with my glass of red. The truffle oil on the fries was delicious. They don't... More

It was so busy with a decent queue when we passed (we had already eaten) we thought the wait must be worth it. It was. We went back mid afternoon for 'lunch' and it was quite quiet then. But service was great, the menu more than sufficient and the soup we had was really very good indeed. Located a few... More

Having been disappointed by several of the towns' eateries' breakfasts/brunches, we decided to take a friend's recommendation and visit Burnt Toast. We were NOT disappointed. We love the atmosphere. Service was efficient and friendly. It is clean. And the breakfasts are DELICIOUS. sausages are of good quality and tasty. Hollandaise sauce delicious. Fried potatoes are baby potatoes, halved and deliciously... More
