yummy grilled cheeses

Had lunch here abut 10 days ago. It was towards the 3 o'clock afternoon break so the soup was low but the grilled cheese on sourdough rye and the fries were so yummy!! I did find the waitress a bit unwelcoming but she seemed to warm up a tiny bit by the time we left. Having worked in food... read more

Defiantly a local small restaurant but clean, wonderful service and the food was excellent. Scrambled eggs anyone can do. Not so, try this eatery and know that the cook really cares. Breakfast was very good and the price was very fair. No question about recommending this location for breakfast in downtown Whitehorse.

When visiting a city I make a point of not eating in the hotel or at chain restaurants. I always seek the local, and this place is definitely a local. Very simple, nothing fancy, but good. The service was efficient, could have had a smile. If you are picky then this is not your place.

I use to frequent this place for lunch but as the greetings and service staff got worse and worse. I decide to go else where, which is to bad because the humble salad is amazing!

Excellent food and service. Warm welcome and great menu. Food is attractively placed on each plate and is very tasty. Went here for lunch and brunch and would recommend this spot as a must "go to" in Whitehorse.

I've eaten at Burnt Toast several times. I usually have the fish tacos but have tried the kobe burger and it was absolutely delicious. I hardly ever eat red meat but this wasn't like any other burger I've had. It came with fries or a salad and I had the salad which was also delicious. The dressing was a house... More

Been here a few times on my travels to beautiful whitehorse. Not many places for breakfast so often feel the need to go there. But totally agree with my fellow Australian friend that the initial greeting is poor.. Very unfriendly. Perhasp the same person greeting both of us. The food is good and original.. A few gluten free option would... More

We heard this place was great and was out first choice on day one of our Whitehorse trip. We were greeted quite rudely almost as if it was an inconvenience to 'serve' someone and seemed to interrupt the servers conversation. We opted for a drink only. A shame as their food may have been excellent. Unlikely to return to try... More

My partner and I walked into Burnt Toast with no reservation and it was a full cafe at midday. We were acknowledged by the bar attendant, whom cleaned and offered a table immediately. The decor is funky and the service is fast, efficient and respectable. These guys were busy and we were delighted with the speedy delivery of our meals.... More

Dinner was so good we went back for breakfast. My Kobe burger was delicious and my companions vegetarian curry was great too. I had huervos rancheros that rated up there as one of the best breAkfasts I ever had. The standard egg breakfast wAs very good too. And no, they didn't burn the toast!
