Myself and my two friends had a nice meal here earlier today. I had their veggie coconut curry which was quite spicy, but a nice dish altogether. It was served with deep fried pita bread and I wasn't very impressed with the "deep fried" part of it, think it would be better with just a plain naan or pita. My... More

We ate here on the recommendation of our tour guide. Service was friendly and prompt. We ordered the goat cheese and scallop salad to share as an starter, and being Australian, out of habit, referred to it as an entree, so naturally it came out with both our mains at the same time. I would have thought the waitress would... More

I often eat here as I work in the area. The gnarly barley salad is my favorite! Always a great meal, lots of options to choose from. Can be very busy at noon, not so bad at 1:00.

It was quite chilly when we visited Whitehorse, so we wanted to grab breakfast somewhere close. The Burnt Toast Cafe was great as it was very close to our hotel (Best Western). It was so good that we ate here the following morning as well. I ordered the pulled pork skillet and it was fantastic! The coffee was great and... More

Whitehorse can seem a bit lean on nice dinner options, but Burnt Toast fills the bill for solo eaters (there's a bar-style counter if you're alone), couples and groups alike. I've been before, but it was a few years ago. This time we went as a mix of friends and family and had a good time. The ambiance and decor... More

Great food, great service. Extremely old, uncomfortable bench seats. You either sit on a two by four or sink into a big hole in the foam padding. Anyone of average height ends up being too low to eat comfortably.

We had breakfast at Burnt Toast after being referred here by the staff of Well Read Books. We missed it the first couple of times that we drove by (the street signage tends to blend in) but once we found the restaurant we were glad we'd persevered. The servers were very efficient and handled the crowded dining area (always a... More

Went for lunch yesterday. Food very average, despite the menu reading well. We ordered sandwiches & salad. Not value for the price. A hint to the management is no tea bags please. Fresh tea leaves are so much nicer & what you go to a cafe for! The cafe was busy, but understaffed. Pity the food was disappointing as the... More

On the recommendation of friends who live in Whitehorse, we tried this place one night and liked it so much we went back the next. Ambience is funky, food is excellent, price is fairly reasonable. The Gnarly Barley salad is a meal in itself.

Good place for breakfast but not so great for suppers or lunches- Good service and seems busy with regular customers.
