For only two tables in the restaurant we sure received bad service. The server only answered my questions with what seemed to be a grunt and then spent the rest of the time sitting at the bar area have a very loud conversation with the cook. So not only was this horrible service but also a very un-friendly environment to... More

Ok. I was recommended by the hotel security guard at the Westmark- its 2 blocks from the hotel. The place is small. I ordered a combination dinner. it came with miso soup, a variety of sushi, and then a platter of chicken, pork, salad, rice, and tempura . OMG. it was huge. and it was the best food I have... More

It's good to have a nice restaurant like that in a very far away city. The service is great, the food is fresh and very good. I liked the presentations of the plates, which is not very usual as well. Take a try.

After walking a few blocks in the bright sunlight, it was nice to be greeted to a homely, dimly lit but "asian" themed interior - score one circle. Ordered an appetizer of gyoza and rice and then had the tempura & beef teriyaki which was really good. I'm picky with my gyoza - I don't like it deep-fried but it... More

We have eaten here many times over the last few years and always have an enjoyable meal. Of course there are so many choices one has a difficult time deciding what to try next. I try to look at what others around us have to maybe have that the next time.

Ate here twice. Had nigiri, sashimi, tempura, rolls, etc during the two dinners. All really good. Service was good but one night was busier than the first so had to flag someone down for more Sapporo. Al in all, a great place to eat.

I've had worse teppanyaki (even though no hot plate here) in Japan, this is good food in the north of Canada ...

I spent time teaching English in Japan and loved the food. Now back home here in Canada we have good sushi and Japanese dishes. But this place hit the nail on the head and a person would think they are really back in Japan eating the authentic dishes. You won't be disappointed at all. Go and enjoy!

The food was nice, my wife's Tempura/Tofu was reportedly very nice, my Tonkatsu was real average compared to what you get in Japan. Tried to go back for Sushi on another day, but they were in the process of closing for the day (9.30 p)
