Easy to locate with on-street parking by the white building with green trim. It is the largest of the three Japanese Restaurants in Whitehorse. Its Sushi was ok, but its tempura breading was too heavy for our liking. Prices seemed reasonable. Service was somewhat slow. Paying our tab seemed to interfere with their cashing up time. The attitude of the... More

Looking at some other of the reviews, mostly by people who don;t know sushi, I can see why they didn't have the best experiences. When we are in a questionable sushi place, we always order a roll and a couple of pieces of sashimi first to judge how it is. We did that here and everything including the miso soup... More

Late afternoon and there were only two other people in the restaurant. The place is so dark you can barely read the menu. Unlike many Japanese places, the menu has few pictures and though there is a good selection of dishes, the descriptions are very poor, and the Japanese names don't tell you much if you're not familiar with Asian... For only two tables in the restaurant we sure received bad service. The server only answered my questions with what seemed to be a grunt and then spent the rest of the time sitting at the bar area have a very loud conversation with the cook. So not only was this horrible service but also a very un-friendly environment to... More

Ok. I was recommended by the hotel security guard at the Westmark- its 2 blocks from the hotel. The place is small. I ordered a combination dinner. it came with miso soup, a variety of sushi, and then a platter of chicken, pork, salad, rice, and tempura . OMG. it was huge. and it was the best food I have... More

It's good to have a nice restaurant like that in a very far away city. The service is great, the food is fresh and very good. I liked the presentations of the plates, which is not very usual as well. Take a try.

After walking a few blocks in the bright sunlight, it was nice to be greeted to a homely, dimly lit but "asian" themed interior - score one circle. Ordered an appetizer of gyoza and rice and then had the tempura & beef teriyaki which was really good. I'm picky with my gyoza - I don't like it deep-fried but it... More

We have eaten here many times over the last few years and always have an enjoyable meal. Of course there are so many choices one has a difficult time deciding what to try next. I try to look at what others around us have to maybe have that the next time.

Ate here twice. Had nigiri, sashimi, tempura, rolls, etc during the two dinners. All really good. Service was good but one night was busier than the first so had to flag someone down for more Sapporo. Al in all, a great place to eat.
