Tasty Food, Mexico City Style

My wife and I are becoming devoted fans of La Bamba and especially of their enchiladas, which happen to be a specialty they excel at. Last evening I had an En Molada while my wife had our usual favourite, the Chipotle Chicken Enchilada. I had not experienced La Bamba's mole sauce before and I have... read more

We have been here a few times after a friend introduced me to La Bamba. I have tried many different items on the menu and have always been happy with the quality, taste and presentation. The decor is pleasant and clean, price is excellent as well as portions generous. Owner is on site whenever I have been there and he... More

Only restaurant that serves true Mexican food, even though only basic dishes. The taste is very close to the real Mexican food considering the ingredients available in Saskatchewan. It might be a little overpriced, but there is no other option for real Mexican food like " Enchiladas Verdes".

This is a very good (but smaller) restaurant that serves very reasonable and authentic Mexican cuisine. Staff here is very helpful, polite and friendly/ conversational. A large, varied menu awaits you; cannot go wrong with the enchiladas or quesadillas. The home made hot sauce is a can't miss if you like spicy food. Bar service also top notch. It is... More

We used to get Enchilada Verde for pick-up every Sunday night before watching The Walking Dead. It is LITERALLY the best. We never get anything else because we don't dare stray. It is LITERALLY the same and perfect every time. How they accomplish this is beyond me. The chunky tomato salsa is soooo good; we would buy it by the... More

We come to this restaurant often as a family and with other couples. It is tucked away into a small mini mall and you might not notice it if you're driving by. It's quaint but you won't have to wait long for a table. They only take one reservation an hour here because they want to honor the drop in... More

Great small place that is not well known. Kind of hidden at end of 8th street but worth the drive. Nice change of pace from regular done out places. Friendly staff and small location so get there early if you want choice of seats. All dishes have been good for me so far.

The place is small, maybe 12 tables. But the service was great and the food was just excellent. Highly recommend the chicken mole tacos.

This is a small and very popular cafe, probably due to the quality/quantity of competition in Saskatoon. La Bamba made alot of effort towards the decor and Mexican artifacts in creating an ambiance. Cheap and cheerful, the staff were OK but in insufficient numbers for a Saturday evening. Our margaritas were thin and very sweet, a real turn off, so... More
