This restaurant is a gem! The service is fast, the food excellent and the price reasonable. Located on 8th street in a shopping mall. We have eaten there on numerous occasions over the last twenty years and never had a bad experience.

Gibsons is in its 50th year and has been providing old country fish and chips along with various other seafood to a dedicated following. This family owned and operated restaurant is one of Saskatoon best kept secrets and in addition to the restaurant, they operate a significant take out counter. A great family outing.

every time I fly to Saskatoon from Toronto I go to Gibsons for Fish and Chips. They are absolutely fantastic, I've had F & C inToronto and they don't compare.

I'd heard a lot from locals that Gibsons was such a great place to eat. I recently stopped in for lunch and was kinda disappointed: the place looked rundown and need of a cleaning. The food - nothing special, just your run of the mill fish and chips, kind of greasy, nothing special and the side of coleslaw seemed limp... More

We just ate here today and both ordered the one piece cod and fries. I was disappointed because I wanted halibut but they only have that on Friday nights the waitress said. The fish and fries came on a plate that was annoyingly small, it was hard to cut my fish because there was no room on it. There weren't... More

We dined in on a Friday night and there were already people lined up waiting for a table. We did not experience the greasy food mentioned in other reviews. I had the clams and my friend had the fish and chips and we both enjoyed the food. I had the half order of clams and chips and found the portions... More

Had a craving for Gibson's when we visited Saskatoon and really were disappointed with the food. Definitely not what we remember from back in the day. Way too much breading with the fish, who ruins scallops by breading them and the fries had zero taste. Service was good otherwise it would have been a one out of five. Won't be... More

We are visiting from the Maritimes and looked up Saskatoon's best fish and chips...Gibsons was mentioned by all...so we expected to be wowed. Not so much. There was not a lot of fish in the batter and I found it very greasy. The fries were just okay. The best part of the meal was the homemade coleslaw. I am also concerned... More

Each time we're in Saskatoon we always make it a point to stop by Gibson's for a 'feed' of fish & chips, and we're never disappointed. Be warned though, the portions are large, so you may not have room left for a slice of their delicious key lime cheesecake.

Food was crisp and light! Fish batter was tasty. It's been 12 years since the last time we were here and it is as good as it was then! Way to go! I will be coming back here!
