We have been here a couple of times, and the food is quite good, especially the samosa and pear salad. Nice atmosphere and sometimes live music. However, on our most recent visit my wife's food came out after I had already finished my meal, due to servers grabbing the wrong plates. They did comp her meal, which I appreciate, but... More

Very disappointing lunch. Deli turkey, $2 extra for gluten-free (nice bun though but expensive). Only a small swipe of avocado paste. Vegetables were limp. Bowl of soup was almost too small to believe possible. Few spoonfuls of soup were nice though (spinach/lentil). Server confides that they have mentioned to their boss that they shouldn't be selling the sandwich. Wish they... More

The service was good. The restaurant was clean, but my meal, Prairie Ink Breakfast Bowl, had a lot of eggshells in it and I couldn't finish it. After bringing this to the server's attention, she said she would bring it to the kitchen's attention. Well, that doesn't do anything for me. I didn't get to finish my meal and because... More

Came here for a family supper with the in-laws. The restaurant itself is clean, the service was great but that's about all it has going for it. I ordered the steak while my wife ordered the burger and chicken fingers for the little one. All of the meals came out looking fantastic but they looked a lot better than they... More

I used to come here often and loved this place so I'm not sure what is happening now. Went for lunch today and ordered the samosas with pear and blue cheese salad. The salad was great as it used to be but the samosas were dead cold. Not sure if that was their intent but they used to come hot.... More

This restaurant is part of a bookstore, what a novel idea. The menu was varied but I wasn't terribly hungry so I ordered the soup/salad combo. Good thing I wasn't hungry because the soup came in a tiny bowl, not that it mattered because I couldn't it eat. I asked if it was spicy, was assured not (it was barley... More

Excellent salads particularly the one with strawberries and avocado and the one with warm lentils. Salmon is excellent. Also there is music on Saturday nights.

Overpriced and never quite what I hope it will be. I always give the soup a go but unfortunately find myself disappointed most days. The only saving grace is some of the desserts, the lemon mousse in particular if they have it which is rare.

We go here frequently because we live in the neighbourhood. This is a café within an independent bookstore that we like to support. It has an adequate selection for vegetarians. Given that it can often be packed, the service might vary a bit, but it has always been good enough to keep us coming back. Portions may be a bit... More
