We went to Rool and Rven before attending the Russell Peters Show Sat Sept 13, 2014. Initially, we went next door to the Woodfire Grill, but left due to lack of atmosphere, a funny smell and a menu that left a lot to be desired. We walked to the Rook and Raven next door and was instantly impressed with the... More

Tried several dishes. All dishes outstanding; from Grilled Cheese and soup for lunch to the Chicken Supreme for dinner.

After spending quite a few weeks in Saskatoon this summer I have to say that I was extremely underwhelmed by the dining in/around downtown. Sub-par pub fare seems to be the menu choice by most restaurants. Fortunately I found that The Rook and Raven is a bright spot among the offerings around town. I have dined here a number of... More

I was very surprised given the reviews at the disgusting tasting food. Fish and chips were dripping with grease and the fish tasted off. I sent it back and ordered mushroom bruschetta as a safe bet. They looked great but tasted awful like pickled mushrooms if you can imagine that! Drowning in balsamic I could only manage 2 forkfuls before... More

The server was extremely friendly and made good recommendations. Some of the best food I had in Saskatoon by far. I highly recommend this very casual and laid back restaurant/bar.

Picked this restaurant from tripadvisor list of best places to eat in Saskatoon. Our food was average pub food We felt the food was greasy and far from memorable. We felt that we missed an opportunity for a nice meal. As a pub it was decent but would not rush back for the cuisine. The service was good.

We chose this place based on tripadvisor reviews and it did not disappoint. They had a wonderful twist to everything we tried. The servers were engaging and helpful, the food was great and the desert was to die for. I hope to return here in the future.

While recently in Saskatoon, my co-workers and I checked out this restaurant based on a number of recommendations from hotel staff and other restaurants. What a great find. The restaurant certainly has a "pub" look and feel and is casual in that manner. However, the food is creative, fresh and great tasting. You certainly get high end restaurant quality food... More

In town for the Fringe and asked about a dozen locals ranging from 20-60 for their top 3 restaurant choices for dinner. Common theme was Rook and Raven which was enough to sell us as this was a wide age group throughout the day. Well done Saskatoon as we were extremely happy with our experience. We didn't reserve as we... More

Another business trip to Saskatoon meant that I would get the opportunity to try somewhere new. Based on the past reviews, my expectations were high. Perhaps, because of this, I left feeling a little bit underwhelmed. However, upon further reflection, I realized that my lunch was actually very good, and the service was great. I ordered the daily lunch special... More
