We attended the Christmas Day buffet dinner with friends. Now we know that it is difficult to prepare a buffet for a large crowd and especially on Christmas Day. We were seated upstairs in a large room with two sets of buffet tables in the centre. The service was less than attentive. It took a long time for someone to... More

A small group enjoyed the Cortland Dining room recently. All of the meals (NY steaks, duck, lasagna, amazing crab cakes for an appi), service and white linen table cloths and napkins etc. were first rate. The fresh baked bread and 'try' sent out courtesy of the chef helped to kick off a great meal, and the wine helped too. Would... More

do you like floral prints? doilies? dust? well, have they got the hotel for you! the rooms look like something prepared for the queen in 1922. the food is bland and grey, the service slow. the bathrooms are tiny typical of a building that appears to be approximately 700 years old. there are two temperatures available, very hot or cold.... The menu changes by season. depending what LOCAL and in season vegetables are available to them. It is great they use local produce. The menu is small but fantastic! It is a shame more people do not dine here. The hotel is an old classic, the servers are very knowledgeable and friendly. One may think they are a bit pricey but... More

The food service is very, very good. The staff and servers are first class. It is a beautiful building, well maintained, and home to members of the Royal Family when they are in the province. The daily smorgasbord is inventive and varied. Sunday smorgasbord is best in city. Love this place.

As always top notch food and service. The serving staff is knowledgeable about all menus and wines. This dining room has been a family favorite for years holding many special events.

Attended Sunday brunch. Multiple food choices, nice atmosphere, great service and lots of parking close by. So come Hungary if you plan to attend. Food was very good but a little pricy

When looking for that something special place for that someone special, to treat yourself, for a business meeting, the Sask won't let you down. The lunch buffet, is pricey by most standards. This was my first culinary experience at the Hotel Saskatchewan. We made reservations for Saturday at 2:30 pm but we're surprised to learn that the hotel serves high tea year-round on Thursday and Friday also. For $28 there is a lovely selection of sandwiches/canapés, scones, and dainties, plus your choice of various loose teas infused in your own personal teapot.... More
