This hotel is located in a beautiful old, character building. It has so much potential, but meals and service are incredibly inconsistent. Shortly after they first opened a few years ago, I had two terrible meals. I swore I would not return. I gave it another chance and was pleased with two great meals. The last three times I have... At first glance of the menu I thought it was slightly over priced. I ordered the Athenian Chicken which was recommended to me by our very friendly server, asking to replace the potatoes with veggies. Receiving the dish I was quite surprised by the size of both the generous portions of chicken and vegetables. The vegetables were crispy, full of... More

Have been to this restaurant a few times over the years, and have generally had good appetizers/meal. I was hesitant to go this time, because, like other reviews mention I have experienced the prepackaged frozen deserts from what I believe is Costco as well....which is ridiculous. I was delightfully surprised that my meal, a primavera type pasta, was delicious and... More

Haven't been here4 for a while, but it seems the dinner menu is a little more upscale than before. Food is delicious and plentiful, though the price is a little high. Forget the desserts though, especially the Tiramisu, which is frozen, even when served. Not sure anything is fresh in the desert line...though of course if you eat the full main course,... More

We have dined at Fireside many times. The food is always very good, but on occasion the service is painfully slow. On four separate occasions, we have witnessed one particular waiter, consistently TURNING AWAY customers. He turned myself and my daughter away on two different occasions this past summer....saying "there is no available table". We had a nice young lady... More

Today my wife & I enjoyed brunch on the deck with our 2 grown sons. The food was great, one of the best breakfasts in Regina and while the service is glacial it gave us an opportunity to visit. However, fall in Regina is wasp season and every table was plagued by wasps hovering around, attracted by fresh fruit and... More

We had a group of 30 in the party room, reserved 1 month in advance. It took 2 hours to receive any food. One server was overwhelmed. Unfriendly to kids using the stairs (to access where they sat us). Host on main level dismissed our comments, when we asked the status of our meals his reply was "this is not... More

Go at 10:30 or 11 and linger. I visited an old friend in Regina and she recommended this place for breakfast. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and the waitress allowed us to linger over too many cups of coffee. It is a beautiful converted house. No disappointment here.

Not very busy, yet odd table selection when we were seated. Server could have been more professional but was pleasant. Food was good - I enjoyed the mackerel with risotto. Deciding beer and wine selection, too.
