We recently spent six nights in Trois-Rivieres, and Le Paladar was only a few blocks from where we stayed, so we walked by it a few times each day. We have never been to Cuba nor tasted Cuban food, but I read the reviews and knew that we just had to go there. Still, it took some convincing to get... More

I was in Trois-Rivières for a few days staying in a location where rue des Forges was attainable by walking. For this reason, I was looking at trying different eats along that area. I was pleasantly surprised by Le Paladar! This small restaurant is very friendly, family-owned, with a wonderful cuban atmosphere and even better service! I had the ropa... More

Definitely my best experience of Cuban cuisine, even after having been in Cuba various times! A culturally mixed couple (a Quebecker husband with his Cuban wife) owns a warm, welcoming restaurant right downtown Trois-Rivières. The table d'hôte is generous and allows to taste a varied selection of food, including yucca (manioc) and plantains, better prepared than in Cuba itself. Groups,... More

Our meal was excellent and so were the drinks. Can't give enough praises for the service we received. My wife and I went there to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday. We checked out the reviews here and as both of us enjoy this type of cuisine we wanted to give it a try. We were not the least bit... More

Since this is the town I live in, I was apprehensive about this restaurant due to lack of publicity. I have traveled to Cuba many times and I appreciate the cuban cuisine as it is not a fancy or spicy cuisine but good and fresh food usually. So we tried it and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered beef, chicken and... More

The best food I had in T-R during my one week stay. Grilled chicken with onions was delicious, tender and good flavor. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. This will not be like the resort food you've had in Cuba. Highly recommended.

Celebrated an Anniversary there. Great mojito. Then a meal of simple food like moms and just as good. Grilled chicken and pork covered with onions. Cuban rice with black beans. Fresh crisp green beans. All with a hint of lime. Fried plantains. Delicious flan. I mean simple in the best way possible. Owned by Canadian husband and his Cuban wife.... More

This is a great restaurant. It's run by a husband who is the chef and his Cuban wife. The food is outstanding and the service is great. I would have never expected to find a Cuban restaurant in T-R, but when I did I decided, "Why not try?" Boy was I surprised at how good it was. I was in... More

Run by a husband and wife team, this treasure is a new fav! They are kind, efficient, and make fantastic food. Also very good with our 6 year old. I went to grad school in Florida and eat Cuban whenever I can. What fun to find a quality Cuban place here, with such a varied and excellent menu!
