Good Basic Food and Service for a good price

Chantmartin seems be the place where the locals go. The service was great and food well prepared. It's located at the top of the hill on Rte 138, easy to find, lots of parking. Very casual restaurant on the main road from the ferry terminal, it's located on a hill. Lots of locals dine here, prices very reasonable for what you get. Limited english spoken. Some great specials- I had the langoustines (crayfish) which were excellent- very tender. My partner had the salmon and also found it very good. Price includes soup or salad.... More

Restaurants in town were full, so we went to Chantmartin after reading reviews. Our GPS couldn't find it--we went around in circles, ended up in a dirt driveway, and found it by accident. The waitress was very sweet about my halting French and food allergies. My salad was huge--couldn't finish it. Very fresh, not terribly imaginative. My husband's sandwich was... More

Was there and stayed in the motel. I had the fishermans platter which had crab legs, cod, scallops and shrimp. It's THE food for anyone who loves all types of seafood.

We received a 10% Discount when purchasing a Whale Watching Cruise with the Dufour Group Cruise. The 10% lured us to investigate. Definitely a restaurant that the locals like as well as it's very budget minded restaurant considering most of the restaurants in the town are on the border line of high end to ultra high end. For a family... More

The food was above par for a wide variety of plates. Staff on the other hand are very slow. Don't go here if you are in a hurry. Took us 40 min, just to get our wine. The panful of mussels is one of their signature dishes. Doesn't take long to make, server took 50 min to bring it to... More

We had dinner at 9:30 at night and breakfast the following morning. Everything we ordered was spot on. We enjoyed the seafood soup and the seafood pizza. We highly recommend this place for friendly and great service.

We knew Tadoussac was likely to be a bit slow at the end of April but we did not expect it to be almost completely closed. Still, the Chanmartin was open as it is all year I think. Good size menu and swift friendly service. Not gourmet food but if you expect that don't go beyond Baie St Paul in... More

A lot of choice, meal was very good and service is excellent. They also offer a rebate for the whale cruise.

A regular restaurant with a good menu, specializing in pizza. Very popular with local population, as it is the only one that stays open all year.Good food and reasonable pricing, good service. No complaints.
