The best meal we had in Quebec! Do not miss! We went there for dinner and did not make reservations. Lucky we got one of the last tables and had a great evening with good food and very pleasant background music. It's out of ordinary for us west coasters.

I had a lovely lunch here. The food was excellent with friendly, attentive service. It was my favourite eating spot during my 5 days in Tadoussac. Recommended.

A friend and I went there for dinner, with a reservation, and the place was packed. I happen to be pescatarian -- I am vegetarian but I also eat fish. The waitress did not know if any of the items I was interested in had chicken broth etc, which is okay as I am quite used to it. But when... More

My wife and I like and appreciate good food and service thus we are willing to seek out the best in the areas we visit. Tadoussac is a lovely place for a vacation or weekend away and considering the size of the town it has a number of restaurants striving to be the best. During our trip we tried several... More

We first scouted out the restaurant in the early afternoon ....and were a bit concerned - the place looked a bit deserted, nobody about whereas other restaurants in town sported outside bars with lots of folks enjoying the afternoon sun. Yet, two locals had recommended that we try it, so we did. We were surprised when we entered - the... More

We didn't think we'd find so good a restaurant in the little town of Tadoussac, but were pleasantly surprised! I had the house pasta and it was a delight - quite gourmet. The staff was very friendly and accommodated our terrible French by speaking English. We'd go back!

Wheat beer is always a tasty start to a meal, and that in Chez Mathilde was particularly tasty. The menu was quite varied, the staff were friendly and very happy to assist in English, though relieved that we were prepared to struggle with longago schoolyard French. The salmon salad was fresh, generous and tasty. The goat's cheese salad was similarly... More

Menu and quality is excellent but not cheap. There is a nice choice of meat, fish and very good wine. Try the frozen maple sirop as dessert.

We adventured here after whale watching. We didn't make reservations and we don't speak French but they were very accommodating. We were able to get a table and our server read our menu to us. The menu seems to change very often so no recommendations but everything we had was outstanding.
