I was there on a busy thursday for lunch. My brother had the "crémeux de chèvre" followed by the "pavé de boeuf" which was perfectly medium-rare. I opted for two entrées the "salade de crevettes de matanes" it was perfect, creamy lorts of shrimps and finish with the "rôtisson de haut de cuisse de poulet". It was devine, I had... More

Nice location and quaint restaurant. Pea salad was delightful and kept me wishing it had been a little larger.... had the veal tortellini for main course - also lovely and quite filling. Reservations are probably a must as the place was full (we had ours made). Check out the OMG Restaurant next door - it's a converted church. Unique to... More

We stopped by for an early dinner and advised the staff that we only had a limited time. The staff was very attentive to our needs. We each and different staters and they all were excellent, I had the special of the day which was a salmon dish very well prepared with fresh local vegetables on the side. Would definitely... More

My wife and I had lunch there today; great food, great service. For a tuesday noon the place was full; we did not have a reservation but they offered us to sit a the bar...so make a reservation even for lunch. We shared a foie gras entrée, had the farfalle (bow tie pasta) served with shrip and a cheese sauce... More

Three for Saturday evg dinner in this charming house with wrap-around verandah and intimate dining areas. French or English menu. The food lived up to the prices (i.e., kinda high and very good!), the service was efficient, friendly and, notably - *happy*! All in all it was a delightful evening. I had the steak and it was melt-in-mouth tasty, just... More

Can't find any negatives so will definitely try for dinner as I think it will be even nicer ambience and more extensive menu in the evening

If you're within an hour's drive of Sherbrooke, Quebec - perhaps on the way to Montreal, or perhaps skiing at nearby Mont Orford - and you have a hankering for classic French cuisine, you will want to work in a stop at La Table du Chef. I was there for a special wine tasting dinner with a fixed menu, but... More

La table du Chef is rank #1 by TA in Sherbrooke and I am adding my two cents (even if the pennies have disappeared) to confirm that ranking. We were 2 couples in Sherbrooke for a curling bonspiel and looking for the best restaurant in town, we went for La table du Chef as recommended. We took the discovery menu... More

We went there on Valentine's day dinner, possibly not the best time to pass judgement on a restaurant. We took the special 5-course Valentine's day special with 4 glasses of wine. The Chef has an excellent reputation so the expectations were high. I thought that the food was excellent in the context of a place like Sherbrooke. I only give... More

La Table du Chef is the best table in Sherbrooke. Alain and Joelle, the owners are amazing persons, who take the best ingredients from the Eastern township, and serve it to you with knowledge and precision. Ask the sommelier to match your plate with the wine...you'll be grateful !
