I had a walleye fillet, which was significantly overcooked but still tasty, due to the exceptional sauce. My companion had chicken pot pie, which he said was good. The prices for the main course are reasonable, but appetizers and drinks are priced rather high. Since this is Quebec, where meals tend to be quite expensive, I am happy to recommend... more

After passing Le Cochon Dingue in our wanderings around Quebec and perusing their menu, we decided to try them for dinner. The menu is not traditional Quebecois if that's what you're looking for, but it does provide a wide selection of items that are sure to provide something for everyone. We decided to go with two of the four very... more

During our recent stay we ate breakfast here both mornings since we couldn't decide which entree we didn't want to order. Everything about the breakfast was excellent! The portions are very large, filling, and very satisfying. Service was attentive and quick as the restaurant was not very busy (our stay was one week after Carnival had ended.) more

We went here for breakfast on a busy sat morning, waited for a while for a table.. but wasn't that long of a wait. The service was pretty good but the food wasn't as impressing as I thought it would be.. the food is nothing more than what i can find in other breakfast/brunch restaurants - therefore wouldn't consider this... more

It's refreshing when a rather touristy, popular place is crowded for a legitimate reason. We found the breakfast at Le Cochon Dingue to be outstanding and well worth our 20-minute wait for a table. We went for brunch on Sunday and all four of us, including one vegetarian, were extremely happy with our meals (I had the Bacon and Mushroom... more

Thought this was just ok. Service was less than attentive as we had to wait 20 minutes just to put our order in. Menu is good offering something for everyone and the food is average, nothing special or by any means great. Many other better options in my opinion. more

A few friendly locals recommended this place on the Quebec City Forum, and I went there especially because it sounded SO good - and it was! I got a table of the terrace, as advised, and enjoyed more of Quebec's magnificent service with an absolutely wonderful breakfast - the crepes and fresh fruit were to die for, the herbal tea... more

My wife and I ate here on a very busy Saturday night after waiting 2 hours for a table. After taking our orders, soup and salad came quickly enough, but it took 45 minutes for our entrees, which was too long. Soup and salad were excellent, but entrees were only ok. Steak was a bit tough. Prices were good compared... more

Had breakfast at this small restaurant and absolutely LOVED it!! The Apple butter was delicious!! The breakfast included your choice of coffee or hot chocolate. The Hot Chocolate "a l'ancienne' made with 64% belgium chocolate was very good!! Prices are very reasonable and many locals comes to this restaurant. Will definately return on my next trip to Quebec City. more
