Good asian food

This a "bring your own wine" restaurant. Went there for the first time, for lunch, with a group of 27 co-workers. The service was fast and good. Ate the Bún chà giò (marinated beef on a bol of rice vermicelli and 2 egg rolls), not a lot of beef, but it was good also. The first course of soup and... read more

We did not want an expensive fancy meal and this restaurant was in our neighborhood. Service was polite. I had a salmon entree which was good (you can choose to not have egg rolls and dessert) but my husband had a chicken pho soup with the rolls and a tapioca dessert. Very reasonable.

At this place, you must bring your own bottle of wine or beer. All meals include soup, 2 egg rolls and salad, main course with either rice or vermicelli, green tea, coffee and desserts (almond cookie, flan, apple, banana, or pineapple fritter, lychee, or tapioca pudding.) We enjoyed peanut chicken and pork with vegetables. If you don;t want the extras,... More

The food is not even close to Vietnamese. To be honest I am not sure what to call it - had better food from a tin. Do not waste your time.

I know most people will read this and based on the other reviews, think I'm just whining. I have eaten at dozens of authentic Vietnamese restaurants and this was the worst meal I have ever had. I have given it 3* based on the meal my husband had and my appetizer. However, if I were to rate it based solely... More

I was looking for a BYOW near the Capitole theatre and this one came up. I looked it up and the reviews were good so we decided to try it. At first it's a bit awkward: you enter by a narrow hallway and you're wondering if you're entering a restaurant or a private residence. Your first encounter is with the... More

We are Quebec City residents who enjoy eating out at local ethnic restaurants. For visitors with similar tastes, La Campagne is perfect; it's a bring your own wine establishment on rue Saint Jean, one of our coolest streets. Tourists will not be fleeced here: the food is tasty, copious and served with warmth and aplomb. The owner and manager is... More

The food was not very greasy and tasted fresh. We eat a lot of Asian food and this was quite authentic. Service was a little slow but it was Friday and the restaurant was full. The neighborhood is not the greatest so would plan on an early dinner.

We dined at La Campagne for a second time last weekend. We were warmly greeted and seated immediately. We chose one of the dinner for two specials - "à la maison" for $65. All the courses were incredible! The soup, simple and delicious. Then, Steak tartar very fresh and perfectly seasoned. Followed by Fried wontons and eggrolls - warm, delicious... More

Just strolling along Rue St-Jean and we came across this nice Vietnamese restaurant. Seems quite popular among the locals, which is a good sign. Luckily they've menus in English language too. The portion of food was exactly good and tasty. Personnel worked hard, but they keep friendly. Very affordable. Recommendable!
