Great find near the artists alley

We had been enjoying the art in the nearby artists alley, and decided to eat lunch here. We had a glass of wine while looking at the menu, and noticed the pizza at a nearby table. The ladies recommended it, so we also ordered the pizza (don't remember the name but it had slices of apple on it... read more

Nice ambiance, decor & location (a little crowded, though), & attractive menus, etc. We had a prix-fix & my 1st choice (tartare) is the best I've ever had (to date). Poor hubby: his 1st choice was sold out, & to rub it in, the server made a point of saying the last one had just been ordered a minute before.... More

We have just returned on Monday from a great weekend in Vieux Quebec, and Le Pain Beni is at the top of our "Restaurant List". We had sent an email days before our arrival requesting a romantic table for 2, and also to let them know we would be a later arrival by train. The reception we received was absolutely... More

Everything was great, and the staff is lovely. Having the option of a capuccino or a latte included in the price was terrific. Breakfast was all fresh and cooked to order and.

Very warm and welcoming staff. The waiters were very knowledgeable and eager to make you discover their menu. I gave them carte Blanche for my meal choices and I was not disappointed! Great wine list as well which I always find hard to find in restaurants in Quebec city. Went there with a group but would gladly dine solo as... More

This restaurant appears unflappable. Everything is considered and calm, with excellent attentive but not overbearing service. The menu provides a range of more traditional foods presented in non-traditional ways. The plating is really pleasant. There are some game meats, some seafoods, some - I guess you'd call it offal but that sounds like a really unappetising way of describing beautifully... More

Had breakfast here - nice food, prompt service, good prices. Only serve breakfast until 10am which is quite early but if you're up early it's in a good location and far cheaper than many of the hotel offerings.

This was our first restaurant experience (dinner) in Quebec City. We also stayed in the adjoining hotel, which was convenient for breakfasts. We received a coupon for $20 off $50 or more for booking with the hotel which was a nice little bonus. GET THE BEEF TARTARE AND FOIE GRAS! We also split a delicious deer medallion for our entree.... easy walk from Le Chateau Frontenac with delicious, hearty food that tasted wonderful during a very cold New Year's week
