My wife, daughter (8) and I came here for a 7pm table and were delighted. The food was lovely - smoked bison; wonderful tomato fish soup; crispy halibut. Yum. And the service was also great, and family friendly. For instance, while we were having ice wine with creme brûlée an apple juice in a wine glass showed up so my... More

Right in the heart of the Historic District on rue Sainte- Anne, this cafe was recommended by our hotel desk clerk. We arrived for Sunday morning breakfast and were seated at a lovely table by an open window with a view. The menu was tempting with prices much less than those at surrounding restaurants. Our eggs benedict arrived perfectly done,... More

After traveling most of the day, we arrived at the Auberge and didn't want to have to go far for a restaurant that first night. So we ate at Le Pain Beni. While we expected it to be good, it was actually better than we expected. All four of our group were happy with the plats we ordered. Service also... More

Fondue with apples, bread, and fruit! Exquisite.... Not counting calories of course! Next up, mash room ravioli with rabbit.... Very good accompanied by sparkling cider. The kids loved the steak and my husband hand the chicken. The sauces and purées are wonderful! Staff is welcoming and professional! For dessert, I tried the chef's inspiration - smoked chocolate ganache layered with... More

Hard to find with google maps...can't drive down the street. Website offered valet parking. That was not true. So if you have ever driven in this area you realize it's a disaster to park. Food was just ok, was expecting more since it was ranked so high. Staff was nice. Would not recommend to others just did not love it.... More

We were lucky to pick this restaurant when we sought shelter from the rain. Both the entré and dessert were amazing - sophisticated and delicious. True French cuisine! The service also matched the food. Our waiter helped us pick dishes and was attentive. The next time we visit Quebec, Le Pain Beni will be our first stop!

Excellent and friendly service. Large portions, rich and delectable. Nice option to make your own 3 course meal for a set price. Best meal I had in Quebec city, where portions are large and the food has French influence so that it is very rich. Central location, spacious dining. Better than the restaurant in the Chateau Frontenac.

This is my third trip to Le Pain Beni in 16 months and the quality of the food and service is consistently excellent. Attentive, but never intrusive wservice once again from Jean-Francois and Cassie (you have to think a restaurant has quality when you see the same wait staff year after year). I had the three appetizer special for $36-... More

Went there for breakfast and the food was quite taste. May want to avoid the "three waffle meal" though because basically this was only 3/4's of an actual waffle. Meaning you were only given three of the four quarters. Not certain what happened to other quarter waffle.

Although in one of the most tourist-heavy areas of Quebec City, this restaurant was able to offer great personalized service and food that was impressive in presentation and flavour. Our family of four ended up passing plates around so that everyone could try the meals that we ordered. The lamb chop with chick peas and peas was a hit, as... More
