This place is currently celebrating 20 years in business and no wonder! Classic french bistro menu and excellent service. We enjoyed a few meals here and all were delicious. Seemed to be popular with locals too.

We picked this blindly and we're not disappointed. Brunch was delicious, service was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I'll look forward to returning.

We had chosen this restaurant on our wanderings the night before. Even with calling for reservations we were not able to get in until after 8:30 in the evening. It was very much worth the wait. The mussel and clam soup was delicious. The bison steak was excellent. It was done to perfection. Beautiful presentation of the food. The dessert... More

Helpful waiter, fine food - even exotique! Not only fois gras but lots of tartare of all kinds. No poutine! Wine, deserts, all tempting and fine. No Canadian wine however, hard to find since mostly from Niagara region.

This is an excellent restaurant even if it is a bit loud. Our waiter was very friendly and happy to answer any questions. We would recommend this restaurant to other travelers.

We were looking for a place to have a glass of wine and some homemade pate (harder to find in Quebec City than one might imagine). We found L'Eschaude and were extremely lucky. We sat at the bar, had some great wine and one of the best homemade charcuterie plates we have ever eaten. While we moved on to another... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and we went for my birthday dinner. It was very average, nothing really stood out. The staff was friendly but the menu didn't have very many exciting options. My husband and I both had the swordfish and definitely weren't wowed by it.

We called in for Sunday Brunch. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was excellent with a different slant on classic dishes . Very impressed!

L'Echaude was a great find after walking the winding cobblestone streets, a visit to the Musee de la Civilisation (almost across the street), and a fabulous women's boutique, Jean Grenier! We stopped initially for a glass of wine from their excellent list, but ended up having a divine lunch, and the best Steak et Frite in the city! Enjoyed an... More
