Great service, very good meal

Four of us ate here a few weeks ago and had a wonderful evening. We were greeted by the host who was very welcoming, attentive and professional and had a good sense of humour to boot. Two of us started with the lobster bisque which was stellar, I had the wild boar carpaccio which was tender and... read more

To the surprise of our server and the restaurant staff, my wife and I came here after 9 pm not for food but mainly for desert and tea. Note we also asked for some of their complimentary bread (we weren't happy with our dinner). My wife and I ordered 2 deserts - a creme Brule (very good) and the restaurant's... More

We visited this place for my friend's 30th birthday in May. The menu offered great selections and we were all extremely satisfied with our meals. In fact, one of our friends said "this was the best meal I've ever had". The atmosphere had a great feel to it and we enjoyed the service immensely. We wanted a place to sit... More

We had a vey nice dinner at L'Echaude. My entree was the fish special of white fish, sautéed with shallots and artichokes. There was a delicious potato gratin as a side to my dish. My husband had their steak and frites and found this to be well prepared. Very good service and atmosphere. They sidewalk seating but we were not... More

This place. I love restaurants where the staff work together. We didn't have just one server. There were three that were all helping each other with orders and food-running, and they were all just as charming as could be. And I love that their menu is in two parts-Le Bistro and Du Marche for fresh farmers market options. The grilled... More

We stopped by for brunch and enjoyed it so much we had intended to go back for dinner, but ran out of time. We both had salmon Eggs Benedict, but nice to be able to order one egg and muffin or two in our order, and sauce on the side. Crispy thin pomme frites accompaniment . One of the best... More

One of the best dinners we've had in Old Québec in the last 30 years! Excellent and courteous service. Great original menu. Wine list is quite impressive! Well located in the newly developed district of old QC lower town. Definitely on our list for when we go back.

While it may seem a little out of the way in Old Quebec, it is among the best we have ever experienced, here or elsewhere. Extremely attentive waitstaff. There are a number for each table. Perhaps one of the best wine lists I have seen. The food was prepared to perfection. I had Icelandic Cod, my wife Arctic Char. Both... More

We were staying in the old city and decided to head down to the lower part to find dinner. Stumbled on this place and loved the quaint atmosphere plus the bonhomie and welcome of the wait staff. The menu is surprisingly large and we (4 of us: 2 adults and 2 boys, 11 and 9) began with orders of fish... More
