Great location and lovely evening

This was not amongst the best meals we had in Quebec but the location and ambience were perfect. We had drinks here several nights prior to eating here and they have great bartenders. I didn't love the bison-a bit too tough. My husband had a seafood stew and did not love it. Wine list was great as... read more

We had an amazing dinner here and wound up at a table that was relatively private. This was our first dinner in Quebec City and we were not disappointed. I started with the cream of mushroom soup (with truffle oil) as my wife started with a warm goat cheese salad. Both were amazing, the apps may have been the highlight... More

Delicious and authentic. Great service and food, very enjoyable lunch. Staff was incredibly accommodating in interpreting the menu in English and catering to my friend who has multiple food allergies. I had the goat cheese salad, and am considering a repeat visit!

Our server Daniel, was great. His style and informative approach was just what we wanted. His recommendations were on-target. The wines were very good. The food excellent. The ambiance was lovely. Recommended by the expert concierge at the Auberge Saint Antoine, it was a great call.

From the very first bite I knew this place was a winner! I had the Bison it was absolutely superb. My friends had lamb and were equally impressed. Service was impeccable and friendly . It was so nice to have a sommelier to help with choosing just the right wine.

In our last visit to Quebec we had brunch here and remembered enjoying it so returned for a full dinner. We were not disappointed. The staff are friendly and the service is solid. They offer a variety of creative takes on the local standards. The food and drinks are prepared well. I think the tables are a tad bit close,... More

The three of us had three different dishes and each one was perfect. The bison was tender and flavorful and my crab salad was very fresh. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly.

We've eaten at L'Echaude four times in the last two years...not always by choice, as we do like to try different places, but our planning is not always so good and they seem to always be able to work us in, even when they are super busy, as they often are. We always leave feeling satisfied. The food is well-prepared,... More

Rubbing shoulders with Panache and Initiale also in the Lower Town / Old Port area (Bas Ville, Vieux Port), I would say the food is very good, well executed, but just slightly below the level of elegance and finesse. BUT price wise and service wise, Echaude excels. Let me back up a bit - We had friends with a 2... More
