Recommended from our hotel front desk, some previous review comment their service, but relax and sit down to enjoy your food is topical French cuisine style. My husband and I very enjoy the meal and service. We order 3 appetizers menu, they ask us for all come in the same time or dish by dish, we prefer come in the... More

Food was good and the atmosphere was great. Menu is somewhat difficult to understand. You can group appetizers, sort of a tapas meal or pick and chose between salads and main dishes.

We enjoyed a great meal at this restaurant. The menu is varied and offers a little something to please most palates. The bloc of foie gras for two is a must and the canard confit was delicious, as was the nage de poissons (a variation on a bouillabaisse). They offer plenty of half bottles on their wine list, which is... More

We ate our first meal in Quebec at this restaurant and were glad we did. The food was excellent, as well as the service. My husband had scallops which he said were excellent. I had three appetizers as my meal. The gnocchi with mushrooms was the best I've ever had. The goat cheese salad and the tomato tasting plate were... More

We stopped here for Sunday brunch, having read so many favorable reviews that led us to believe this was our kind of place. In its creative combinations & use of local foods, it was fine (not amazing) but the service/attitude was troubling. One young woman was helpful and pleasant; another was abrupt and did not bring us a cup of... More

Old Quebec abounds with excellent restaurants and l'Échaudé is a typical example. We dined out on the terrace on a beautiful July evening. I started off with a foie gras entrée followed by the tartar steak. I enjoyed every bite! We really enjoyed the service from the friendly and experienced waiter staff. If there is one drawback I can say... More

We sat outside and had a wonderful meal. I had the Cornish hen with risotto and my wife had several appetizers, including foie gras. The waiters were very professional, attentive and friendly.

Yet again. The tartar is a must; we also selected from the market menu and were not disappointed. My daughter had the duck and it was spectacular, I had the scallops and they were perfect, as well as beautiful. But my son's Asian flavoured salmon tartar won the gold. Wow. Always amazing service and food at L'Echaudé.

This restaurant was recommended by the concierge at our hotel, and we did enjoy it overall. The food was a bit mixed -- my husband had a swordfish special that he felt could have used more flavor, but we both loved the gnocchi appetizer. The waiter was great and very helpful, but we'd hoped for a romantic last night out... More

Nice place. Ordered a lot of appetizers. For some reason they would not bring them all at once, took forever between plates.
