This was a quaint little spot we stopped into for a drink, and stayed for dinner. When we realized the patrons seemed like mostly locals, not tourists, we thought the food must be very good. They did not disappoint! My husband had the steak special, which the place is famous for, and loved it. I had a salad with chicken,... More

I liked the location of this restaurant and the service. The soup was also great, but the main course left me quite disappointed. The entrecote was very stringy and hard to chew. My table companion said it happens in this place from time to time, but I am curious as to why such a respectable establishment cannot find a decent... More

I enjoyed my meal here -- had the menu and the courses were reasonable in scale, size, and quality. This is not prime US corn fed beef, so for those after the steak house experience a la Morton's or similar this is not going to be what you're after. But for French bistro steak meal this works well. Great profiteroles... More

The specialty is steak...they offer alternatives but it is steak which sets this restaurant apart from others. Staff are courteous and assist the atmosphere. A good wine selection is also available. All set within the walled part of Quebec

We chose this because we were looking for a good steak close to where we were staying. We were seated immediately at a nice table. The ambiance was nice and server attentive. Unfortunately the food is not very desirable. We both ordered the best steak they had. It was a top sirloin served at the temp of your choosing with... More

We went as a group to here to have a supper. Our server Michell was super and entertaining at the same time. We all had the same meal , My steak was super. I loved the building and the history behind the walls. I will be back as I enjoyed the meal and good times

Reputed to be a stand-out for the usual stand-by of steak-frites. "All in the sauce" they claim, as to why their house specialty should be considered special. Our experience can't allow us to agree. A fairly tough entrocote doused in an insipid pepper sauce that had no bite and little flavour. The frites half of the offering, on the other... More

Soft jazz bounces off the stone walls, marble floors, and the low sculpted ceilings. There are great views from the wide windows. What's not to like? Plus the food iwas good. At least it was for my visit for lunch today which was soup, main course, desert, & coffee for $18. If the tables were pushed together, I'd think I was... More

timely, friendly service, nice atmosphere. the food was average at best and very disappointing as to the entrecôte, which is supposedly their specialty. My husband asked for the steak medium rare and got it medium well. nonetheless, it had little taste, am pretty sure it had been frozen and was not seasoned well. i asked how is the Croque Monsieur?...
