A good variety of Asian foods. Moderately priced wine list with excellent wine choices. We were just walking back to our hotel from the summer festival concert and people coming out of the restaurant said it was awesome.

We ordered one of the meals for two, which included wine. Excellent fresh food and the salmon we had was some of the best I've ever eaten. A great atmosphere and the staff spoke enough English for us to get by (Plus the menu had English as well).

Apsara was a great surprise - the food was great, the space was interesting and comfortable, and the price was right.

I've had a lot of Thai food from various restaurants over the years. The food at Apsara was not good. It wasn't tasty and flavourful, which is what I expect. Also, the waiter made a mistake in our order. When I pointed it out, he became exasperated with us and said that we ordered the wrong thing. I pointed at... More

So you have been in Quebec City for three days and are looking for something other than MEAT, Poutine, and beer. A hankering for Thai got the hunger juicies flowing again. Apsara's menu is Thai, Vietnamese, Cambodian, and something else I can't remember. I am from the west coast and am used to Thai food with strong spices and rich... More

Went there for vegetarian Thai food. It is worst food and worst experience I ever had. The food was anything but Thai food. It came mixed with fish sauce even though we were assured vegetarian. The owner replaced the food with a steamed vegetable plate as the vegetarian Thai food. And at the end, to make it the worst experience... More

Frankly I'm a little surprised by the poor reviews of Apsara recently, so I want to share our experience from the other night. Yes, Apsara is in the "touristy" part of Old Quebec, just inside the Chemin St-Louis gate, but how that is a factor to some people, I don't understand. When I lived in Quebec City as a college... We ordered mostly from the Cambodian menu. While the food was prepared fresh, crisp vegetables, cooked on point, etc., it was rather bland with no authentic flavor. The restaurant is pretty, but the portions are very small for the price and geared towards the average tourist.

If you have eaten Thai food in Thailand or Europe you will be dissappointed. The food was fresh but lacked any seasoning or spices. I think it was adapted to suit a North American palate.
