Only place we ate twice

Food experiences during our recent trip to Quebec City ranged from unpleasant to OK to memorable. Bistro Sous Le Fort was the only restaurant that earned a return visit from us. We happened on it first while walking the streets of the lower town. We were so impressed we made reservations to return... read more

great location but poor quality. onion soup was salty and served with bread soaked in it. duck legs were also waaay too salty. we ordered medium rare veniso but it tasted more like medium cooked. Skipped desserts, better save the money for something better.

We ate at this restaurant twice as we found it so good the first time. The service was excellent with exactly the right amount of time between courses. The presentation of the food was also first class. The table d'hote menu is particularly good value. We sat indoors both times rather than on the terrace at the front as a... More

It started with a very pleasant treatment when I booked a table by phone, and the whole experience was like that. The menu has some traditional bistro dishes, but also some more adventurous like egg role with wild boar ragout as starter, which I tried and was very good when combined with the soy based saus. As main dish I... More

This place has both atmosphere and good food. The service was decent even though the place is over crowded. Sit outside to people watch and enjoy a reasonable priced lunch. The onion soup was great and so was the salmon. Really enjoyed this place.

We are here tonight and it was great. It was a little chilly but we ate outside. There were heat lamps so it was comfortable. We started with the Brie appetizer, with rum and maple syrup. It was delicious. I had the salmon and my husband had the goat cheese quiche. Everything was delicious and the service was great.

This one is at the bottom of the Funiculaire in Old Quebec. The food was the best we had during our trip. Fresh and innovative menu was a delightful change! Very hard to decide as it all looked fantastic. An example is the warm Brie topped with maple glaze & pecans which was an excellent starter! You won't go wrong... More

I liked the view, the atmosphere and the diversity of the menu. Be sure to go during lunch hours if you are on a tight budget. Their lunch specials include a three course meal. The disadvantage is you have to go early because the place fills up pretty quickly.
