The service was attentive. The atmosphere inviting. The food was a good French meal. The menu was varied. The drink menu was a typical bistro menu.

My husband and I chose this restaurant as it was close to our hotel and we were very tired from walking up and down hills and stairs all day in QC. We got a reservation in the afternoon when I popped over from the bar a few doors down. I asked if we could reserve a table outside, which wasnt... More

This restaurant was close to our hotel and we did need to pack for our return home. Boy were we wonderfully surprised by the quality of service and the exceptionally tasty food. We started by sharing a Grilled Caesar Salad that was very good. I had the Beef Bourgenion (spelling?) and my husband had the curried seafood. They were both... More

We were able to sit outside at this lovely bistro and enjoy watching the crowds climb up the hill to the Funiculaire. The wine was delicious, and we had a sampling of three appetizers which were plenty to satisfy us after having had a large lunch elsewhere. Go for the brie smothered in rum and also for the wild boar... More

The good: Fabulous location, looking up to the funicular and haute city, down to the port. The bad: Food was meh, nothing special. The ugly: Service was disappointing. The waiter stood right behind me on the little outside seating area shouting at passers-by to entice them in. I felt like I'd been had.

we were walking randomly down the street when a very charming host of this bistro said hello and convinced us to come in. We sat on the patio and enjoyed watching people walk down the cobble stone. Our waitress was FANTASTIC I asked her name but now I forgotten .. she spoke to us in french and then switched to... More

Dined here on 7/5 and the food and service was very good. Started out with a house salad and wild boar egg rolls, both of which were excellent. Had the maple dressing on my salad for the first time and enjoyed it. Entrees were ribs glazed with root beer and ginger and a lobster, shrimp and scallop terrine. Again, both... More

Very enjoyable meal for family with teens. Had the venison which was perfectly cooked with tasty blueberry sauce others were dipping their potatoes in. Duck legs were the favorite of the table. The root beer ginger ribs were unique but be prepared for sweetness. The steak frites piece of meat was a bit fatty but extremely tender so a trade... More

It's a lunch place in a fairly touristy area. Very good food, as one would expect of Quebec, NYC prices, as one would expect of downtown Quebec City. Should really be marked with three dollar signs. They had two local beers on draft, we found both up to Belgian standard. We had onion soup (definitely not the Panera bread kind..)... More
