My wife and I were both enchanted by the food served here. Actually, to call it simply food does it a disservice. This was a gastronomic delight in every bite. It is a bit pricey but once the complex flavours begin to dazzle your taste buds you soon realize the value. I say do it. Treat yourself. This is the... More

My wife and I ate there and all I can really say is that we had the best meals ever. I had the Arctic Char (fish) and she had the filet mignon. The average entree was $49, so it's not cheap but you get what you pay for. You won't be disappointed.

In Quebec City for a week at Christmas we went on a foodie exploration of fine dining and we're almost always very happy. But Le Saint-Amour was far and away the best of the bunch. Walking in you just knew it. Pleasant, welcoming atmosphere and exceptional service. Great food, start to finish.

The good: the food was quite good, especially the deer in berries, and the garden room (request it!) was beautiful, charming, and romantic. We also found the secondary wait staff very pleasant. That's where the good part ends. The evening was ruined by the service. It wasn't exactly bad service in that the secondary servers were very pleasant and our... More

Bonjour madame, I can not say how sorry I am to read your review. Further than given you the wrong impression of language preferences in order to give good service, the disapproval and pretentious feeling you describe about your head waiter is totally unacceptable to us. We are passionate about food and wine, about the creative possibilities and technical aspects... More

Among the best meals we have ever had. The food was uniformly superb, the service could not be faulted, the atmosphere in the inside garden matched the mood, and everything went smoothly. Also among the most expensive meals we have had, but a once-in-a lifetime dining experience!

We had eaten at this restaurant 14 years ago and were curious as to whether things had changed significantly. They hadn't - our meal this time was just as delicious and as elegant as we remembered. The food is unique, beautifully prepared and briefly explained by the server when it arrives at the table. The flavors are subtle and superb.... More

This is one of the finest restaurants in which I have ever dined. The food is extraordinary, the wine list immense and the ambiance is just what you'd expect from an expensive restaurant. Try the rack of lamb with a foie gras appetizer.

I hadn't been to le Saint-Amour for several years so I was really looking forward to our visit. The restaurant has an excellent reputation and has been the object of much positive publicity since Sir Paul McCartney's visit a year or two ago. The service was impeccable and the waiter very helpful in finding a wine that suited me. The... More
