I took my mother to the Lapin Sauté last Saturday. She ordered the salmon and I ordered the filet mignon with goat cheese in a balsamic reduction - to die for! My mother also loved her salmon. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. About 110$ for both including a 30$ bottle of wine. Reserve in advance, they're busy!

We enjoyed everything about this restaurant--the simple but delicious food, the setting, and the service. It was a nice break from the more expensive, more sophisticated meals we ate on our other nights in the city. Great outdoor dining if the weather is nice.

June 2010. As the name implies. there are lots of rabbit dishes on the menu. Equally, if you're not a rabbit fan, there are plenty more dishes to choose from. My husband and I were lucky enough to get the last table outside, in a lovely patio area. The whole experience was wonderful. As well as great food and service,... More

Loved: The location, decor, ambience and by coincidence, the guitarist outside the restaurant. Shocked: The service was good throughout... until the end of the meal, when the waiter reminded us that the tip is not included in the bill in Quebec, and that a minimum of 15% is recommended. That was before we even paid!!! Sorry, that is so cheap,... More

My partner and I ate here tonight. We tried to book a table for 8pm at 11 am but were told the restaurant was fully booked. but that there were no reservations if eating on the terrace. We decided to try our luck in the evening. We arrived at the restaurant at 7pm and gave our name to one of... More

Had our first meal in Quebec here based on Tripadvisor reviews. Loved it so much that we returned for our final meal to cap our 5 day stay in Quebec City. We didn't have reservations and had to wait a table both times. However, the wait in a park-like courtyard was pleasant. Each wait was also well worth it! For... More

It was our first night in Quebec and I had emailed for an 8pm reservation but hadnt heard back so we went about 6pm to see if we indeed did have a reservation - we didnt -- but the hostess was very accomdating and squeezed us in for 8. A reservation is a must here. We were so glad she... More

My wife and I were in Quebec for our anniversary, and had to try Lapin Saute after reading all the good reviews on Tripadvisor. They are justified; the place is great! Our first visit was for dinner; we were on time for our reservation, but had to wait about twenty minutes, which was a little irritating, but we got over... More

I recently took my husband to Le Lapin Sauté to celebrate his birthday. We shared the Tout lapin, tout canard (rabbit and duck for 2) along with a 2007 Chilean syrah whose name escapes me at the moment. We waited only 10 minutes for a table abutting the rue du Petit-Champlain and were treated to a surprise dessert thanks to... More
