I had made reservation at this restaurant which was our choice after looking at many other in the same category, we had been there once before and had liked it. Since this was a special occasion I had ask for a intimate boot which we got without having to mention it again once there. this place is top of the... More

Did not disappoint. We did not try their trademark "tartar" but will next time. The 4 course table d'hote offered many choices. We enjoyed everything but the turkey breast with prosciutto and creamed spinach sauce was amazing. My husband had pickerel which he enjoyed but agreed my turkey won the night. The only disappointment was my cappuccino...too much foam not... More

First off, don't be fooled by the location attached to what looks like a motel in a suburban location. We almost didn't go in based on the unassuming exterior and location. The restaurant is known for their tartare and the tuna tartare did not disappoint. Full of flavour, it was done perfectly and you almost had to ready yourself for... More

I have been at the Galopin at least 3-4 times every year since I came back from Europe in 2008 after a pleasant 4 years of gastronomic trips here and then. I have eaten in Michelin starred restaurant and pretty much all the best tables in Quebec city and Le Galopin has everything, yet reasonably priced menu which changes every... More

I have a love for tartare and enjoyed Le Galopin very much. VERY fresh and well presented. This restaurant also had a very nice wine list with some interesting, diverse and well priced options. I also had the foie gras appetizer with a sherry caramel and pears, and it was very good. When I could not decide on the steak... More

Le Galopin has, in my opinion, the best salmon tartare in the city! And a great variety of meat and fish tartares as well! Great place for lunch, dinner, either with friends or solo (they have a great bar area and you can watch the chef in action)! Service is excellent and ambiance great… And a nice choice of wines... I work often in Quebec City and always stay at the Hotel Sepia. I had never tried the restaurant, Galopin, however until my last visit. It is absolutely delicious. Don't miss the salmon tartar. The chef makes it to order and you can decide how much spice you would like. It's the best salmon tartar I've ever had. The duck... More

Made a reservation for diner. Well situated, close to the bridges, the atmosphere was exceptional. The service was offered in both official language. The service was phenomenal. We had the soup, the salad, very good and very tasty. I tried the risotto, it was exquisite. My wife had the veal and it was also very good. The service is impeccable,... More

Best restaurant experience this year. The service was exceptional. We had tartare s that were quite frankly the best in town. The service staff did everything to make us feel at home and welcome. Loved the mini Caesar!,,
