Our previous 3 visits over the years have been exceptional - one of our favorite restaurants. Initially, this visit was the same - exceptionally attentive service, quiet yet attractive atmosphere, and outstanding food. Again, our food was wonderful - delicious and well presented - the flambéed steak was delicious and a treat to watch the performance. The seared giant scallops... More

Service was great. Everyone was bilingual, we choose the Table prix fixe- 4 courses , good variety and well presented as one would expect. We had the sirloin for two and it was perfectly done but I found the sauce a bit pungent.

We dined at the Continental with another couple to celebrate both our anniversaries. I picked it after searching internet eating sites and reading many reviews. This is a formal restaurant located in the Old City and the decor is wonderful. Tables are spread out for privacy and several servers tend to all your needs. Much of the cooking takes place... More

It's clear from the many reviews that this place is one you either love or you don't. If you remember classic French bourgeois cooking before nouvelle cuisine and waiters who are professionals then this is likely the place for you. Yes, there is a preponderance of flambé, but the table side service is done very well and this is an... More

Finally a classic restaurant that lives up to its reviews. We were promptly greeted and seated by the Maître d' in the elegantly appointed surroundings. Our waiter was charming but very professional. His 19 years with the restaurant shone through his knowledge of the wine list and menu. Every course was excellent but the table side filet mignon was the... More

An absolutely fabulous dining experience! I can't say enough wonderful things about Le Continental. If you eat in only one restaurant in Old Quebec, it should be this one. A gorgeous dining room, staffed by the most professional servers in white coat, provide an ambience of pure luxury. From start to finish, the meal was perfect. The feast began with... More

The dining experience at Le Continental is theater, art and an amazing culinary experience all at the same time. The service is exceptional, the table-side food preparation enlightening and entertaining and the food delicious beyond description. This was a special celebration and Le Continental made the evening wonderful and memorable. The Duck a l'Orange was perfection. Save your pennies. The... More

Definitely our treat for the trip. The food was amazing! Recommend getting something that is cooked and served from the table side, really makes the experience. The staff couldn't have been more attentive. Everything from the appetizers to the desserts were excellent. Would eat here again!

We were sent to Le Continental by the concierge at the Chateau Frontenac. We had planned on dining at the Chateau but the restaurant opening there was delayed. They were able to get us into this restaurant and it was a memorable evening. They specialize in Flambe which neither of us had, but it was fun watching it. Both of... More

A truly special culinary experience. The best of all was the flambee part. The Maitre brings the food to your table and sets the pan on fire in true flambee fashion. We had the duck a l'orange which was delicious. It is not a cheap place but the money is well spent. Look for the last page of the menue... More
