A great dinner

We first eat at Le Continental last summer. This year we visited Quebeec with friends and we had to take them for dinner at Le Continental. As expected the dinner was excellent as was the table-side preparation of the salad and main courses. It is an elegant restaurant.

Formal setting with wait staff in white shirts, black tie and jacket. A lot of table side cooking and food preparation - very impressive. The staff is most helpful and knowledgeable about the food and also skilled in the table side preparations. Our entre's were sea bass and lamb chops. Both dishes were excellently prepared and presented. The portions are... More

Lovely restaurant. We both had the filet which they cook table side. I have never been to a restaurant like this so it was a great experience. The meat came with some potatoes and veggies which were pretty bland but the steak was fabulous. St. Honore cake for dessert was nice but not memorable.

We all enjoyed this quite noisy and busy restaurant where the waiters appear to be constantly rushing around not only to serve but also to flambé quite a lot of different dishes by the tables. Not a lot of room but they managed well. The food was all good - as we expected - so altogether quite an entertaining evening.

The food was very good and there was a lot to choose. The food was great as well as the service. The couldn't have been more helpful. The also allowed us to be seated a half hour earlier than our reservation because our table was ready. It was very pricey but a great meal!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary in Quebec City at our favourite restaurant Le Continental. As requested, we were given an out-of-the-way romantic table adjacent to the patio garden. Our server/chef Sebastian was a consummate professional. His encyclopedic knowledge of the menu and recipes helped my wife to decide on lobster Thermidor over lobster Newburgh. I opted for the... We went there for our wedding anniversary. The waiters are all dressed in white jackets and ties, very elegant. They are friendly and helpful, our waiter cooked our lobster Flambe at the table also the creme brulee is to die for. The food is excellent couldn't ask for a better meal. The restaurant has very nice decor and we will... More

In a very touristy part of town, but I tried this because of good comments in guide books and because I saw it on Anthony Bourdain's CNN show. It was a fun and interesting, and almost historical, dining experience. However, the food was below expectations. The wait staff was great and very attentive, but the food just seemed a little... Our waiter was attentive, funny, simple delightful! They were very accommodating to our little family. The food was absolutely amazing, from the appetisers to the cheese plate. The menu was pleasantly varied and every dish was as good as the next.
