We went for their famous high tea, but we were seated in an area in which the waitress had no idea what that consisted of. Three waitresses and 20 minutes later, we finally called the manager over to complain. After telling us it was $38 for each of us for one small tea sandwich, a scone and a small dessert,... More

The Le SAM Bristro is the newly opened restaurant connected by the 1608 Wine & Cheese Bar to the Champlain Restaurant in the Le Château Frontenac. Although we were not hotel guests, Yuri graciously gave us a pre-lunch tour, telling us about the renovations and the recent reopening of the restaurant. Lunch dining in the Le SAM Bristro was surprisingly... More

The decor: give them a 9 The food: a fair 7 The service: sorry but very inconsistent; the youngest, great! The mammoth, unfortunately they probably can't fire him... The wine list: ... What can I say... Poor. Considering that Mr Chartier is a one of our greatest sommelier, there's no real wine opportunities !

There were six of us and we asked if we could move. The waiter told us that the tables would be filled. It took over three hours to eat and the portions were small and the food was average at best. Oh, none of the tables we requested were used that night as the restaurant was nearly empty.

I don't mind paying for fine dining if you get great service and food. ..service here not up to par...food pretty good and obviously fresh, but portions are extremely small. We dined here many years ago and loved it. I realize they just reopened but they didn't seem prepared. Waiter unfamiliar with menu items..not acceptable ...very disappointed. Had better meals... Note that this restaurant is actually closed until January 2014 due to exensive rénovations. Also of note the Executive Chef Jean Soulard has retired and a new one with a lesser profile is now running the kitchen. So a lot of things might change with the new year and I suggest that you check the reviews coming after the restaurant... More

Best sunday brunch ever. Deserts that you dream about like Sucre a la creme crepes, macaroons, petit fours. etc. Seafood of all sorts and of course cheese! Best of the best

Even you are not staying at the Hotel. I worths a visit. Wonderful place. Delicious meal. Very attentive staff. It´s expensive. Onde of the most expensives in Canada. I think. But, if you have the money and you want be in a very special place, it´s a big deal...

I ordered the veal, and it was absolutely delicious! I usually don't even like meat, but this was incredible. The dessert was average but overall my whole family was very pleased with our dining experience.

We had a table overlooking the boardwalk and the St Lawrence river. Beautiful sunset view from our table. Service was great the food even better. Highlight of our meal was the table service Crepes Suzette. Awesome to watch and even better to eat. Be prepared to spend a few dollars.
