Had heard from multiple sources that the best time to visit Cafe du Monde was breakfast. fortunately we were in QC until Saturday, so we treked to the river and arrived before it opened at 9. We sat on the deck in the shade. 2 in my group had the French Toast, which was very rich and sweet, but we... More

The last evening meal we had in Quebec City was at Le Cafe du Monde. It was the perfect ending to a perfect trip. It was a Friday night and we did not have a reservation, but we went early and were seated on the outside deck which was perfect. We were right by the window overlooking the river. The... More

I must say we did like their previous location much better than where they are currently located. It was no rustic with more atmosphere. But this is still a favorite for good French Bistro/Brassier food at reasonable prices with good service.

This restaurant boasts one of the best views of the water in Quebec. Situated right at the harbor level you have terrific views whether you are on the terrace or at an inside table. Our waiter was fabulous. We enjoyed lobster entrees -- mine was a spiffy version of poutine with lobster bisque instead of gravy. It was delicious but... More

Very family friendly restaurant. Great for young children! We were seated very quickly, our waitress was more than accommodating and helped us in every way possible. The kids meals were good ( can't really mess up spaghetti and butter) and the spaghetti San Daniele was incredible! I would go back for it. Just DONT order the lobster salad - definitely... More

Although it is classified as a bistro, with lively decorations, the bar, and the wonderful French and English Jazz and classic music playing in the background, the menu and service goes well beyond the bistro fare. Went there on a Saturday night at 17h:00 and got to enjoy quick first class yet subtle service with our waiter, who kept a... More

Wonderful waterfront views. Very friendly and attentive staff. Marvellous deck outside dining. The black pudding was amazing with poached egg.

We thought maybe this would be a sister place to the New Orleans restaurant, but no beignets were found. They did laugh when we asked if they had them! We went for breakfast and had a totally yummy meal. Service was excellent and the food matched. We sat outside and enjoyed the sun without the wind, sitting next to a... More

We've been at Le Cafe du Monde for the lunch with all the family. 3 on our 5 main courses was very desapointed. I had a seafood salad, which my scallops wasn't fresh at all, and I missed vinaigrette on my plate. The food was a bit ''cheap'' and the service was rude. But, the terrasse is very nice, it's... I've been 20 years without going at Le Cafe Du Monde. Complete new location that really rocks with the awesome fleuve view. The barman was fun to talk and the Gratin de Caraket was so delicious, filled with the freshest fruits de mers out there.
