You don't have much time to talk between ordering and receiving your food because the service is so quick. Staff were extremely friendly and did not mind us ordering in English. I had the smoked salmon gougere and it was the best smoked salmon I've ever had. Coat check was available which was convenient. I would definitely return in the... More

My daughter said she was in love with the mussels she had! The food was excellent. It was an easy walk from our hotel in lower Quebec City. Service was also excellent. Would highly recommend.

There are many better places to eat in Quebec. The food is overpriced and not the quality of other lower priced restaurants. You are paying for the view.

I was in town to enjoy all the wonderful things Québec has to offer. At my friend's suggestion, who lives locally, we dined here. Upon calling in a bit late to make a reservation for Saturday night, the very nice woman who answered the phone told us to just come on in and we'd fit. Unfortunately we were not able... More

The waiter was not terribly friendly and my food was room temperature. As I had been invited for a special evening I did not want to make a big deal about it. I would definitely not go back. There are far better places to eat in Quebec with more charming surroundings.

Colleagues recommended this place to me, since they said they have good soup. On a cool windy day, this is just what I needed. The fish and chips lunch special was great, and all the staff was very friendly.

We enjoyed the location and the atmosphere. The menu was exhaustive, but we really loved the "bucket of steamed mussels" Outstanding, with salmon garnish and seasonings.

I visited twice during my Quebec stay. The first time I enjoyed the Duck Confit (with scrambled eggs), the next time I had the Lobster Poutine. Both were rich and delicious - very Canadian. Also, the baby-faced bartender served very balanced cocktails.

Great location, the Cafe du Monde overlooks the port and is a very short walk from the cruise ship dock. I only had a quick drink but the location and ambience is hard to beat.
