Perfect Brunch

(Brunch). Excellent brunch spot (probably for dinner too). Bright, modern. Great view across the river. Contemporary menu of favourites, all well executed. Good mid-level wine list , French focused of course, reasonably priced (if any Canadian restaurant wine prices can be considered... read more

(Brunch). Excellent brunch spot (probably for dinner too). Bright, modern. Great view across the river. Contemporary menu of favourites, all well executed. Good mid-level wine list , French focused of course, reasonably priced (if any Canadian restaurant wine prices can be considered reasonable), strong selection of Cru Beaujolais (Duboeuf Julienas 2009 Cuvée Prestige was fully mature and like a "grown... Enjoyed the fish of the day which was black cod with a mushroom risotto and braised carrots. Excellent service, the wait staff was friendly and great at providing information on the table d'hote. Tip: if you want bread on your table you do need to ask for it; the restaurant has a policy that they only provide bread upon request.... More

Such good food. A very nice atmosphere. The eggs Benedict, with mushrooms, brie and spinach was superb as was the "usual" eggs Benedict which my husband had. Our waiter was very helpful and engaging. We don't speak French but he did speak English well enough to explain the ingredients of a dessert we had enjoyed many years ago on the... More

I have to start by saying I don't have a LOT to go on for my review...as i didn't eat a lot here. What I did have was just quite average and rather disappointing. The salad was normal enough. Nothing extraordinary about it. Fresh, and well made, w/ the "right" amount of dressing. So, that was a nice start. The... More

We went to this restaurant because we could not get an early enough reservation at the restaurant at Hotel Le Concorde. This place was suggested by the hotel (same owners). Good selection of wine, and the food was excellent (great steak!) and the dessert was impossible to resist. All the staff we dealt with were very friendly and down to... More

We went to Le Cafe Du Monde for our Christmas Eve celebration. The restaurant was bustling with life and we were given a friendly welcome. We were shown to our table which had a view overlooking the St Lawrence River which was wonderful. Our waiter was very accommodating, helpful and knowledgeable in the restaurants food and wine choices. The food... More

I humored my husband as he wanted to go here. I didn't like the looks of it and the reviews were mixed among the various residents. But it was wonderful! I would come here again and I would order the very same thing- so would my husband. A great wine list paired with great food made for one sensational dining... More

Great view of cruise port on St Lawrence . Sit by big picture windows. Lovely presentation. Wait staff is bilingual so don't worry if your French is horrible. Just try to speak the language. Salads fresh, wine good, creme brûlée yummy. This is NOT your Cafe du Monde of NOLA but a distant cousin. No beignets but great espresso. A... More

Prior to our arrival in Quebec I had researched places for lunch, and had read that Cafe du Monde had great mussels. After spending a cold morning sightseeing in the old town we decided to come here for a late lunch of mussels. (It was conveniently located on the pier right next to our cruise ship.} We saw mussels on... More

Great brunch spot on the water, near the muséums and art galleries. A perfect start to your day in QC
