Description: La Crémaillère fête ses 40 ans.

Biggest disappointment in our 4-day Quebec visit. Definitely not worth the money. Lackadaisical service. Veal and sweetbreads served with same innocuous brown sauce. The one dessert in which we were interested they were out of. We left for dessert and espresso elsewhere.

Nice quiet restaurant. must say a bit disappointing, salad looked like came out of a bag, rest of meal nice but nothing outstanding. Service was wonderful and room very quiet. Food could have been a bit more inventive or quality a bit higher with the traditional preparations

We have been to this restaurant through several transitions to different names starting in the 1970s. It has always been the best and most consistent dining experience in both food and service that we have ever had. Fresh bread is served initially, courses are perfectly timed (not rushed) and your wine glass is kept to the perfect level by the... More

Outstanding experience. We used to write reviews for two mags but since our "retirement" our focus has changed from the "what" to the "how it made us feel". In the province of Quebec, your chances of finding an excellent meal just about anywhere are quite high. The actual "taste" can be subjective but for us it is the overall "experience"... More

Overall this would have rated an excellent but the chateaubriand we had was not the greatest. The other food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Very nice decor in what was a house at one time, especially the interesting art. The staff was particularly attentive and even stayed with us when our taxi was late in picking us up.... More

Lovely atmosphere, lots of art. Waiters friendly and personable, but they had better be to keep the patrons entertained for the long wait for the food. We finished a whole basket of bread while we waited for our meal. Appetizers were fantastic but I was disappointed in the main course of salmon and veg. Did they forget the salt? My... More

I have had the pleasure of going to Le Cremaillere twice now (both for school trips). I can not begin to tell you how delicious my meals there were. I've been to a handful of "high scale" restaurants with my husband years after eating at Le Cremallere and honestly, none compare to this gem. The price was reasonable for the... More

There were 20 of us and we had booked well in advance. We were in 2 tables in a private room. One table got served about 30 minutes before the other. Food did not arrive at the desired temperature. What we had was good. The waitress was attentive and did her best, but don't take reservations you can't properly serve.

Lovely food and lovely service. Some of the dishes are prepared at your table - quite spectacular. Whilst one of the higher end restaurants in the area, the price was reasonable. For French fare and delightful service, you can't go past this one!

This one one of the best meals we have ever had! We enjoyed everything from Appetizer to Dessert. Wine was fantastic too! A good value for the experience. Service was outstanding.
