There were 20 of us and we had booked well in advance. We were in 2 tables in a private room. One table got served about 30 minutes before the other. Food did not arrive at the desired temperature. What we had was good. The waitress was attentive and did her best, but don't take reservations you can't properly serve.

Lovely food and lovely service. Some of the dishes are prepared at your table - quite spectacular. Whilst one of the higher end restaurants in the area, the price was reasonable. For French fare and delightful service, you can't go past this one!

This one one of the best meals we have ever had! We enjoyed everything from Appetizer to Dessert. Wine was fantastic too! A good value for the experience. Service was outstanding.

My wife and I agree that this is likely the best restaurant we have eaten in. The food was very well prepared, the service outstanding. It was well worth the price no questions asked! Will be back

Great atmosphere, great service, great food. This is French food experience that will not disappoint. A bit pricey, but worth it.

I used TA to look for some of the top restaurants in the old city and La Cremaillere was one that was highly rated (and expensive). We got there early but were seated immediately. My wife was set on having Chateaubriand for two and it was really excellent and done perfectly. The staff was very attentive although we did have... More

I was sorry to read that someone was disappointed in their dining experience here in a big group. We were a group of 54 with Trafalgar Tours, and our dining experience was fantastic. We had a choice of four mains, but we had pre ordered what we all wanted, and our meals were very prompt, well presented, and extremely tasty!!... More

I ate at the Crémaillère on Sunday last with a group of about 30 people. We had reservations through Global Tourisme and had a fixed menu - we could only choose from three main courses. Because of this, I thought the service would be fast - I was wrong. The main courses were served in batches - chicken first, then... More

Somewhat stodgy old school experience with good food and tired looking waiters. Don't expect too much innovation here, although food quality was quite good. We would not return as we want more interesting selections for our $100 plus dollars per person! The background music which included Christmas music in August probably needs some attention!

From the moment you approach the wonderful architectural example of old Québec French design (step up three steps) and enter the foyer dramatically presenting a grand circular stairway - you know you are in for a wonderful experience. While occupying this present venue (abutting an old nunnery) for a little over ten years, the restaurant has been serving Quebec residence... More
