The place is a bit off the beaten track - always a good thing in touristy areas. We had a few appetizers, split a Swiss style fondue and a bottle of excellent wine. I was surprised to find no markup on the wine - we were charged what I'd expect to pay in an upscale wine shop. Our host, Alexandra,... More

The place is really nice, even as it is not in the best location, but still nearby. Food was terrific, we had the fondue trio and everything was done to perfection. There was only one person running the room, but it seemed like there were 50, she was extremelly efective, and allways in good mood, very nice! I think her... More

The food here is one of the best meals I have ever had. Nothing fancy, just simple good wholesome food. Fresh boiled potatoes delivered in small sacks, fresh warm bread, home churned butter, delicious fondue and beef broth, shallots, everything good. Very busy and cramped but you can understand why. Decor is very traditional european and inviting. Service very attentive... More

We with an extended family (4 adults and 2 children) for dinner on our recent trip to QC. My daughter was the only one to have an appetizer - French Onion Soup and gave it (2) thumbs up. By th time dinner was over, we finished off a cheese, (2) plates porks and (2) plates of bourguignon. Serviings were good...wish... More

After a day skiing, we had the BEST meal at La Grolla. Very cold nigh so we were lucky to get the small room at the back with no drafts. Our waitress, Virginie was amazing - on top of everything and anticipated our every need. Cheese Raclette starter and tenderloin Fondue were both perfect. Sauces could be improved but with... More

We use to go ski in Switzerland and we enjoyed finding a fondue and raclette restaurant in the middle of winter in Quebec City. Reminiscences tasted good.

A bit out of the way, but worth the walk from the hotel Frontenac . May want to cab it back! Raclette was very good and bread superb. Fondue ok, but sauces all the same base. Sweet waitress

My fiance and I visited QC in mid-october, and decided to check out La Grolla as we had heard great things from the hotel concierge. After looking at reviews on trip advisor, it seemed like people liked if for the most part- with the exception that some people said the portions were too small and that the chocolate fondue wasn't... Two couples wenthere based on TA reviews and love of Fondue. We have had fondue at several places and knew what to expect. We each had the TRIO. Cheese fondue was good, more runny, less thick than most others, but good taste. Good portion and good bread. Wife and I had steak, other couplehad seafood for main dish. My wife... More
