Relais & Chateaux restaurants never disappointed - bring your appetite and your wallet

Initiale is designed for a dining experience. We had the tasting menu, 10 courses and nearly 5 hours. Presentation, flavours and service were all very thoughtfully choregraphed. Wine pairings were very generous. Would suggest sharing as more than adequate for two.

L'Initiale is a top gastronomy restaurant, with unparalleled service. It is more expansive than where I ever ate before, but it is worth the premium. You should try the combination of meal and wine, and let yourself be entertained by the experience! Presentation and taste will delight you! I am a fan of this place. Reserve early!

I don't usually write reviews but this restaurant left me In awe. It's been a few weeks since I've been here and I'm still raving about it. This restaurant is easily in my top 3 restaurants along with Toque. We ordered the tasting menu and we were surprised and amazed with every dish that was served. The only problem was..... More

My wife and I shared a St Valentines dinner at L'Initiale in Quebec : probably the finest gourmet cuisine we had in many years, and certainly the best in Quebec city. It is, without hesitation, to be compared to a 1 or 2 Michelin stars tables in France. We had a 6 course meal, full of savours and imagination. Service... More

If you are in search of a restaurant with excellent food and service, this restaurant would be perfect. If you are looking for a bright environment where you don't need to turn on the flashlight function of your phone to read the menu, this would also be a great choice. Like everyone has mentioned so far, the ambiance is a... More

The service we received at Restaurant Initiale was very professional, prompt, and polite (alliteration not intended...). From the moment we stepped in the door and they took our coats, the service was impeccable, save for a few waits here and there. We were very pleased and full by the end of the eclectic tasting menu we had selected, and enjoyed... More

L'Initiale was our choice for a Boxing Day couples dinner during a getaway to Quebec City. The experience was "class" all around starting with the reservation right through to dessert. We arrived and were greeted personally by one of the Owners. The décor is simple giving a nice atmosphere to concentrate on the culinary experience ahead of us. The menu... More
