Description: Le Charbon est l’Authentique steakhouse à Québec. Le Charbon is the authentic steakhouse in Quebec City. From the first day, the quality and freshness of its products have made it an inescapable establishment in the Old Capital, in the unique ambiance of the historic site of the Old Train Station. The Charbon’s cuisine is worthy of the most renowned steakhouse in the world: maple-charcoal-grilled cooking, AAA «Sterling Silver» Western Canadian beef, minimum 30-day aging process as well as dry aging of certain cuts.

I dined here for lunch after arriving at the train station in Quebec City only to find out that my train to Montreal had been cancelled. On a suggestion from locals we gave the Charbon Steakhouse a try for lunch. What a pleasant surprise it was and as much as I was disappointed to have my train trip to Montreal... More

Great food, good service, good atmosphere. The steaks were great, but so was the soup and the desserts. It is expensive, but very well worth the money for us.

For a place of this price, one would expect to be welcomed and served the way it should be. On the last three occasions we were at Le Charbon there were fatal mistakes, gross service and/or serious flaws and misconducts which spoiled our expensive evening. No one likes to order a 150$ bottle of wine and receive it half way... More

We were at this restaurant on a Tuesday evening which was not busy as the Canadians game was on. Our waiter was excellent. Our group of 7 overall were pleased with their orders but a few things made the night not as good as it could have been. I ordered the walleye which was done just the way I like... More

One of the best classic steakhouses I've been to. Matches in some areas and exceeds in many such traditional steakhouses as Ruth Chris, Houston's, and any number of "sports players" steak houses.

Absolutely amazing. Definitely the best steakhouse in the city, and one of the best I've ever been to. The service was friendly (we were able to adjust our reservation at the last minute with no trouble). My family is mainly anglophone, and the hostesses and waitresses were more than willing to help us in English, as well as providing us... More

We had a wonderful dinner here, the location alone is worth a visit in the train station. Service was fantastic and attentive, the atmosphere is great. The steaks are amazing what flavour! I loved that they gave us coleslaw to start with the bread basket. If we return to Quebec City we will definitely dine here again. WE had the... More

This was my first visit to the steakhouse. I chose to be seated on the large terrace at the back. A nice quiet area. The service I received was outstanding. I could not ask for better. I ask the server for some recommendations and she was very helpful. They had a decent wine list. I ordered a glass of red... More

Bittersweet experience with the restaurant. Great service from the server, very polite and helpful with even directions after the meal. Ambience was awesome as well. However the main issue was the food. I ordered the scallops and a side of onion ring as a starter for me and my girlfriend to share and the portions were miniscule! Three scallops and... More
