We had lunch off off the table d'hote menu. Good food and service. Small quiet cafe with both tourists and locals. Close to lower town in Quebec City and an easy walk from the hotels and shops.

I carefully select almost all of our restaurants when my husband and I travel, and this was one of only two "misfires" we had in Quebec. This restaurant is absolutely adorable, and, based on appearances alone, looks like the classic example of a French, family-run bistro. It's the type of place that you want to linger in all night, cozied... More

Best meal of the visit to Quebec. A short walk from the main bustle and you find this little gem. Make sure you book as when we sat there, many were disappointed to find the restaurant full. We had snails followed by salmon and peach tart. Good food, pleasant service and atmosphere.

We had dinner in this restaurant and we loved the food. We had to wait for a while to got a table, but it worth it. Everything that we ordered was very tasty. And the desserts where delicious!!! The service was very kind. I recommend this restaurant.

This is a great restaurant in the lower part of Quebec away from the huge mass of tourists that you will see in the upper part of Quebec. It is very chill here. I had the blood sausage appetizer and it was wonderful. I also had the Sweet Breads for dinner and that was very good too. The service was... More

We would suggest reservations as on the weekday night we chose to dine at 7:30; we were told that without the reservation there would be a 45 minute wait for a table so we were definitely pleased to have made the reservation though at the time we did not think it necessary. Wine is not inexpensive, and beer does not... More

Authentic French ambiance. Great seafood , beef, seafood stew and escargot! Staff was so friendly! Worth the walk!

The restaurant was busy at 8:00 pm, and we were seated on the patio with a short wait. The food is competently executed French bistro fare. The service was pleasant, but there was a long gap between the appetizer and the main course because the kitchen was overwhelmed. Overall, it's a better dining experience than you will find at many... More

Cafe St-Malo staff graciously greeted us and prepared a table outside that had just cleared. Choices included sweetbreads, lamb shank, beef tartar, salmon and many other appetizing options. I had the bacon and pea soup, venison ravioli and my wife had goat cheese salad and the cassoulet. All were delicious. The wait staff coped with sudden thunderstorm by moving the... More

I found this restaurant through Yelp! and it was great. I had the penne pesto and it was delicious. My mother had the salmon tartare and it was so fresh and just what we had wanted and more. Priced well. There are tons of other places around the area to get a similar meal, but we really enjoyed this place.
