Walked in at 8pm on a Friday night to a packed restaurant and were immediately seated. Goat cheese salad was amazing. Loved the escargot, duck confit and blood sausage with roasted apple. The duck confit and goat cheese salad are must haves! You can't go wrong. Ordered half a liter of red house wine. Total bill was about $50 US.... More

Went in for an early dinner. Nice woman greeted us and gave us the choice of several seats. Small room with this and that decorated (still had up Christmas in late January??) but the real fire in the fireplace was welcoming. Break thin slivers of toasted long bread a bit too toasted. The French onion soup had lots of onion... More

Best restaurant I have eaten at in quebec. Was nervous it wouldn't live up to the glowing reviews, but it exceeded my expectations! We had rabbit and steak both cooked perfectly. Decor was quirky and fun. Wife and husband serving duo were great friendly, warm and professional. Looking forward to eating here again.

Our first evening on our Quebec visit we arrived after 8:00 pm and went walking in search of a meal. There were several quaint places to observe but the scents wafting outside this packed little bistro welcomed us in. They quickly cleared the one remaining table in this little establishment to seat us. It was warm and decorated still for... More

Authentic French bistro in old Quebec. Quaint and charming inside. Small which we like. Host waiter was friendly and welcoming. Food was bistro fare and wine list was good. We would return.

Nothing beats relaxing in a small, cosy bistro with a delicious heart-warming bowl of French onion soup. This café quickly became a new favourite in the old city. It's a small dining room so go early or make a reservation.

The Café St. Malo turned out to be our favorite place and all four of us voted to eat there a second time during our stay. It has fantastic fare with old world charm and charming staff. Not to be missed but make reservations or go early when they open at 5:30pm.

Second time eating at Cafe St-Malo and it is by far a fan fave. Small, intimate setting, traditional cuisine, fantastic wine, roaring fireplace and eclectic decor creating a romantic setting that will intoxicate the senses.

The restaurant is quite small but warm and cozy, nice atmosphere. I had the french onion soup and osso buco. The flavours are great but I do find the dishes a tab bit salty. However most of the meals I've had in Quebec felt a bit salty to me...Not sure if this is a regional thing or...Overall good service, good... More
