An early dinner with our seven year old

If you are looking for a cozy classily French bistro experience look no further. We went on a cold Autumnn evening and sat fireside. The garlic salad was delicious. My sons pasta dish was OK... I would stick with the French dishes

This is a terrific little restaurant where we were made most welcome by the host and chef. The menu is very good and the atmosphere charming, mind you it is rather small which is a major part of its charm so don't be too disappointed if you cant get in just try again it is well worth it!

Café St Malo is a small, quaint French bistro situated in the old town. My husband and I shared the escargot and salmon tartare for starters both were delicious. My husbands lapin had lovely flavours but was a little dry in parts and my veal was moist and tender and tasty. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would... More

Cozy, great atmosphere, and delicious food, Really tasty. Recommended by hotel staff and a nice simple walk to the restaurant. It is small and had big glass windows which look out onto the street. Would eat there again if we had the time. The wait staff was very attentive. Portions were good, We had the steak and salmon and the... More

Walking round this great city, we spotted Cafe St-Malo after our first coffee stop and decided to try it for a late lunch. What a good (and lucky!) find. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Great food (the infamous steak frites was impeccable!) excellent service and extremely reasonably priced. Can't recommend this little bistro too highly!

we were to told of this place by our hotel clerk while looking for a restaurant we had been to years before (which has after 30 yrs. closed). it was a decent walk from (and back to) the hotel, but well worth it. It is in the lowest part of the city and I would advise, if you're in the... More

Very small, classic bistro. Happily the wine arrived minutes after we ordered it, and then we talked and drank for quite a while before our food order was taken. Food was tasty and hot when served.

Perfect, small restaurant in great location within Old Quebec. Food was excellent and the service very good. We were there for dinner and although server seemed a bit overwhelmed at the end of the meal, he did a very good job. I would recommend for lunch or dinner and pricing is reasonable. I would request seating on the first floor... More

This quaint bistro near the old port serves traditional French fare. Ordered the onion soup, escargot, duck confit, and cassoulet. Soup and cassoulet were ok but the escargot were bland and the duck confit was soggy. Having lived in France for a few years, I can categorically say that the food was mediocre-average at best. The atmosphere was nice but... More
