Sooooo good

This little restaurant offered so many tasty, creative choices, we would love to return to try a few more. The waiter was wonderful and our meals were lovely - different in all the right ways from something we might make ourselves. We would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.

Upon arriving in Quebec City, we were overwhelmed with the amazing reviews for this restaurant. The reviews could not have done this place justice! Welcomed by its friendly staff and lovely aroma of fresh ingredients, we were seated at a beautiful table by the window. Even at 9:30 p.m. the restaurant was packed with locals- many of which were turned... More

The decor, the ambiance, the staff gives you the same warm feeling than the other resto from these guys (Affaire est ketchup). The food was good, the wine liste is quite elaborate something I did not expect. Great if you want to experience a good resto in a a bit of everything deco and friendly staff. Service was a little... We had great time at this place, it's gourmet without pretension...our host was very kind to explain the menu in detail, and in describing all of the ingredients and products they were making use of that week...We had croquette of baby goat, Quebec wild mushrooms, Ile de Madeleine scallop...Fun and relaxed atmosphere...Digestifs such as Calvados are offered from a fine... This restaurant was recommended to us by two people while visiting Quebec. We thought we would give it a try. The atmosphere was unusual, but very unique. There was nothing wrong with it, if that is what you are going for! It's edgy and fun. The tables were squished together but I understand due to lack of space. The service... More

Came here with a friend and I had the "champignons" starter with a generous slice of foie gras on top followed by a "jarret d'agneau" braisé that was to die for...a little expensive but you get what you pay for!

This eatery is a short cab ride from the Old Town featuring typical Quebecois cuisine. Steak frite, scallops, bison amongst a host of terrific local dishes, making this hidden gem a find. Waiters are friendly and helpful, wine list has a good selection and the food is served with panache and class. You will not be disappointed; the prices are... More

At first when we came in, my 1st impression was pretty positive: small bistro, friendly et nice atmosphere. On the negative side, their was a very strong smell of deep frying that grabs you by the throts. I was afraid I would smell out for the rest of the evening as we were going out afterward. My meal was excellent,... More

Nice bistro located in St-Roch. The chef has access to incredibly fresh ingredients and meats. However, although well executed, dishes lack creativity found in top-tier establishments. Where things go south is with service. Staff was unhelpful and dismissive at best, which was surprising on a quiet evening. The culmination was when I ordered a double espresso and was told that... This bistro is tucked away in the shabby chic district of St-Roch with a decor to match. The name, roughly translated is "doo-dad and thingamabob". Slightly irreverent in a good way- as in not horribly marked-up wine prices, and although the cooking style is french, it's not boring french. Focus is on local, seasonal, slightly unexpected, but not strange, ingredient... More
