I have been to this restaurant several times. The food here is delightful, when sweetbreads are on the menu I am very happy. All meat and seafood options are scrumptious and the tartares are always worth it. The guys that run the place are very good at explaining the menu and suggesting wine pairings for the food. I have not... More

Recommended by Alex the hotel bartender, definitely worth going a little out of the touristy way to enjoy the food, wine, and general ambience. Fun and absolutely delicious.

You will fall off your chair. I did a mini-happy dance because the food was off the hook. Ultimately un - pretentious. Bare bone amazingness. Try the mousse de foie de pintade.

I went for dinner visiting Quebec. This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend resident in the city. The restaurant is small the atmosphere is friendly, customers as well as the cuisine is local. The menu was explained in detail and the guy suggested some dishes. I took an apertizer and a main course of sea food, lovely, tasty... More

Wandering around Quebec City on a Friday night and getting pretty hungry I stumbled upon this incredible find. If you're ever in Quebec City make a reservation for dinner because otherwise you'll be eating fast food. First fact you need to know is there is no suit and tie required here. Wear your tourist clothes and you'll be perfectly comfortable... More

One of the few recommended bistros open on Sunday. Not in the tourist part of town but worth the $10 cab fare from the old city . We sat at the bar and watch the chef prepare many tantalizing dishes - the smell of the roast meats would covert a vegetarian. For starters we had the asparagus and quail and... More

First thing you should know is that you should have a reservation to go there, the restaurant is not that big and is pretty booked most of the time. They offer a variety of originals, delicious and locals appetizers, mains and deserts. The also have a very large wine selection. We had for apetizer the bone marrow and mushroom, scincerly,... More

Wear your toque and jeans to this self proclaimed, 'restaurant pirate' eclectic bistro. (Look for the pirate character watching over the tables from the minuscule bar counter.) No food snobs here - the friendly servers are passionately enthusiastic about the meat, game, fowl, fish, and produce, the chefs are using in their creative farm to table dishes. One the one... More

This restaurant is located in the St Roche district which is kind of a French-Canadian version of the Haight in San Francisco. We didn't get a table until almost 10pm and at midnight this place was still packed. During the course of our meal, I saw more hipster hats than I've ever seen before. My wife's risotto had an interesting... More

We were following the recommendation of the front desk at our hotel so we gave this place a try. What a find! This is a quirky place in an up and coming neighborhood. The guys who cook, plate and serve at this restaurant know food. We tried two appetizers, organic mushrooms with garlic and butter and duck heart with dumplings.... More
