Amazing...for many reasons

The quality of food they can put out is amazing. Service is fantastic and watching someone put out this kind of food using 2 electric stoves is just mindblowing. The have a fantastic wine list and great food. This place is a must! Notes: It is very small so make a reservation in advance and it can... read more

Seriously, leave now if you have to. I can honestly say I had one of the best meals of my life at L'Affaire Est Ketchup. Yes it's a little smoky and you'll still smell your dinner on your clothes in the morning but I'm not sure that's a bad thing. It may not feel like a fine dining experience when... More

My husband made a reservation at this restaurant months ago. After all Anthony Bourdain ate here and there's a lot of buzz about it. Well, I'm not sure it lives up to that buzz. There are two sittings per night serving 24 people and a few seats at the bar and we were part of the second seating. The restaurant... More

St. Roche district is shabby chic and this restaurant is a tiny hole in the wall- easy to miss. don't make that mistake! the food is creative and delicious. the wine selection is beautifully accessible via the awesome server who recommends, animatedly describes his recommendation and may share a taste with you. dinner here is a memorable and inspiring experience... My friends The Petryks told us about their experience here last summer, and when we decided to come to Old Quebec it was top on our list. It was exactly as described except that tasting the food and being at the bar was an experience I needed to have. It was non stop gazing at the chill and ease of... More

We had booked this restaurant via email in September 2014 due to a recommendation tried to confirm our booking when we arrived in Quebec with no luck. We arrived at the time booked to be told there was no booking and they had been fully booked from the day defore. The person who spoke to us was very off handed... More

I can't even begin to start with this place. Super easy with making the reservation, cute unpretentious space down at the end of st roch. From the moment we walked in we were treated like family, our server who spoke excellent english went out of his way to make sure that our friend with a serious allergy would feel comfortable... My family including my parents (4 adults, 2 children) dined at L'Affaire eat Ketchup tonight, June 25. I had to rush back to the wifi at my hotel to write this review. The restaurant is small so make sure you reserve a table ahead of time. Julien, our server, was enthusiastic, attentive, and all around excellent. Now, the most important... More

The knowledge and enthusiasm of the wait staff was incredible, and was only surpassed by the food itself. Our waiter gave a detailed description of every dish, made excellent wine recommendations, and was very friendly. It was obvious that he loved the food. All five of us agreed that every dish served was absolutely delicious. If we're in Quebec City... More

What a gold mine. What shocks you is that this place is run by only 2 people Julian & Phil in the kitchen. Interesting food and wine selections. I agree with previous ratings, you must have a reservation!
