This is a very small place and very relaxed. The menu is on a chalk board. Full bar and wines. The food was just out of this world. Everything was fresh and local; the chefs create wonder in the smallest kitchen ever. The prices were moderate and if we lived there we would be regulars. Most people spoke French but... More

This is a tiny tiny restaurant. Don't even think of going without a reservation. And it will help if you prefer adventurous food. I don't know how they put together what they did for our group of 7. Everything was perfect. No one had a single dish they did not rave about. Wines were chilled exactly right. Our group did... More

Off the beaten path small informal place they cook on a kitchen stove and assemble the plates of food in front of your eyes in the open kitchen. Great owner and young staff. Wine list is a bookshelf of bottles with price tags. Impressive but pricey wines. Food may be the best ever eaten. Lamb shank and elk steak were... More

We decided to eat here at the suggestion of our hotel when we told them we wanted to have dinner in St. Roche. Were it not for their recommendation, we probably would not have given L'Affaire a second thought as we walked by their nondescript storefront. We entered the small place, seeing about eight tables in front of a tiny... More

My wife and I had dinner at L'Affaire Est Ketchup, this past weekend. It was one of four restaurants we hit (La Gueule de Bois, iX pour Bistro, and Le Moine Echanson were the other ones - I will do one review on each) with the same concept: small, labor of love type restaurants, with creative cuisine, not formal. We... More

If you are anywhere near Quebec City, I strongly suggest you take the time to eat here. Every step of our journey was most excellent. Ambience, greeting, seating, service, menu, drinks, AND THE FOOD. No worries, it's all good.

My wife, six month old daughter, and I ate here on a thursday evening. It is a small unassuming place on St. Joseph-Est, with a mix of young and old clientele. The menu itself was an interesting mix of classics and creative new dishes. Very tasty. We will definitely come back next time we are in Quebec.

We tried getting a walk in the day before and they were slammed. However, they were more than welcoming and took plenty of time to make sure we got a reservation the next day. We ate at the tiny bar, but had a great time chatting with the staff. The food was fantastic and the we really enjoyed our evening.... More

This restaurant is very small with a modest atmosphere. My cousin (a foodie like myself) took my father and I there while we were visiting. The food was fabulous and the wine that the waitress suggested was well paired. Everything on the menu has a twist of unexpected flavours and is served creatively with different textures. My father however was... More

My friend and I went out of our way to go to this restaurant because it came highly recommended. The service was fantastic and the food was very good but too salty for our liking...we will return and ask them to hold back on the salt.
