We decided to eat here at the suggestion of our hotel when we told them we wanted to have dinner in St. Roche. Were it not for their recommendation, we probably would not have given L'Affaire a second thought as we walked by their nondescript storefront. We entered the small place, seeing about eight tables in front of a tiny... More

My wife and I had dinner at L'Affaire Est Ketchup, this past weekend. It was one of four restaurants we hit (La Gueule de Bois, iX pour Bistro, and Le Moine Echanson were the other ones - I will do one review on each) with the same concept: small, labor of love type restaurants, with creative cuisine, not formal. We... More

If you are anywhere near Quebec City, I strongly suggest you take the time to eat here. Every step of our journey was most excellent. Ambience, greeting, seating, service, menu, drinks, AND THE FOOD. No worries, it's all good.

My wife, six month old daughter, and I ate here on a thursday evening. It is a small unassuming place on St. Joseph-Est, with a mix of young and old clientele. The menu itself was an interesting mix of classics and creative new dishes. Very tasty. We will definitely come back next time we are in Quebec.

We tried getting a walk in the day before and they were slammed. However, they were more than welcoming and took plenty of time to make sure we got a reservation the next day. We ate at the tiny bar, but had a great time chatting with the staff. The food was fantastic and the we really enjoyed our evening.... More

This restaurant is very small with a modest atmosphere. My cousin (a foodie like myself) took my father and I there while we were visiting. The food was fabulous and the wine that the waitress suggested was well paired. Everything on the menu has a twist of unexpected flavours and is served creatively with different textures. My father however was... More

My friend and I went out of our way to go to this restaurant because it came highly recommended. The service was fantastic and the food was very good but too salty for our liking...we will return and ask them to hold back on the salt.

I bought the veil there and it tastes like a rug literally. I have also never met a waitress so rude who gave me So much attitude when I asked for the reason why it tastes like that. So disrepectful.

I went to this restaurant based on the experience of some friends, and truly, I was not disappointed. It's a modest, tiny place and walking in, I wasn't sure it would live up to the hype. The kitchen is basically two electric stoves with two guys who don't look particularly chef-like. All the same, it was one of the best... More

Unique food, expertly prepared in a cozy environment.I particularly enjoyed the lamb( seen in the photo) served over flatbread with maple carmelized onions. The staff was knowledgable, and very friendly. Special thanks to the waitress who helped us get a cab faster on a cold nite.
