After not being to enter here in November 2014 because it was full and invited to visit Patentes et Machins where we had a great night, I made reservations 4 days in advance for that early supper on a Saturday night in July. My boyfriend chose the ''cervelle'' for appetizer and that was absolutely... read more

The food was good but too rich. The clam chowder was like eating heavy cream. When I finished my scallops there was a large puddle of butter on the plate. The duck was good. There was only 1 waiter for the restaurant so there were long delays in service, dirty dishes sat and sat, bread was not replenished. The menu... More

Yes, your clothes will smell after you have had a meal at this place, but so what? The food is just too good to let that stop you. We tried several dishes and all were explosions of wonderful flavors. The ambiance is unpretentious, no white linen tablecloths and candle light. Just really great food cooked to perfection. We loved it.

Three foodie adults, and three picky teenagers (one pescatarian) all found L'Affaire Est Ketchup to be the highlight of their Canadian vacation. The restaurant is in a suburban neighborhood and appears to have a majority of locals. We were served by own of the owners and a second was also working. The menu is extensive and often "farm to table".... More

It was our second visit to L’Affaire and it won’t be our last! It is a wonderful restaurant which is completely unpretentious. The food is so delicious, beautifully presented and very good value. The owners/employees are warm and welcoming and it shows that they love what they do. You feel like part of the family when you dine here. The... More

The quality of food they can put out is amazing. Service is fantastic and watching someone put out this kind of food using 2 electric stoves is just mindblowing. The have a fantastic wine list and great food. This place is a must! Notes: It is very small so make a reservation in advance and it can be very hot... More

Seriously, leave now if you have to. I can honestly say I had one of the best meals of my life at L'Affaire Est Ketchup. Yes it's a little smoky and you'll still smell your dinner on your clothes in the morning but I'm not sure that's a bad thing. It may not feel like a fine dining experience when... More

My husband made a reservation at this restaurant months ago. After all Anthony Bourdain ate here and there's a lot of buzz about it. Well, I'm not sure it lives up to that buzz. There are two sittings per night serving 24 people and a few seats at the bar and we were part of the second seating. The restaurant... More

St. Roche district is shabby chic and this restaurant is a tiny hole in the wall- easy to miss. don't make that mistake! the food is creative and delicious. the wine selection is beautifully accessible via the awesome server who recommends, animatedly describes his recommendation and may share a taste with you. dinner here is a memorable and inspiring experience... My friends The Petryks told us about their experience here last summer, and when we decided to come to Old Quebec it was top on our list. It was exactly as described except that tasting the food and being at the bar was an experience I needed to have. It was non stop gazing at the chill and ease of... More
