I bought the veil there and it tastes like a rug literally. I have also never met a waitress so rude who gave me So much attitude when I asked for the reason why it tastes like that. So disrepectful.

I went to this restaurant based on the experience of some friends, and truly, I was not disappointed. It's a modest, tiny place and walking in, I wasn't sure it would live up to the hype. The kitchen is basically two electric stoves with two guys who don't look particularly chef-like. All the same, it was one of the best... More

Unique food, expertly prepared in a cozy environment.I particularly enjoyed the lamb( seen in the photo) served over flatbread with maple carmelized onions. The staff was knowledgable, and very friendly. Special thanks to the waitress who helped us get a cab faster on a cold nite.

Our first and best meal during our long weekend in Quebec City. From the theatrical translation of the chalkboard menu to the last bite of dessert, this was a memorable dining experience. Tiny and casual, and warm on a frigid night, with the simple stove visible from the table, our family of four passed the plates around for everyone to... More

I decided to eat at this restaurant with my partner after reading positive reviews on this place; however, I was very disappointed. Both of our appetizers were either too buttery (i had ordered the fish lotte with beans) or too salty (remoulade of scallops). As a result, it was hard to appreciate the flavor of the fish (unless of course,... More

I was in Quebec city with my boyfriend and coming from Montreal we thought there wouldn't be any good restaurants in this city... we were so worng! The menu is small but amazing! I had the ris de veau and my boyfriend had the grilled octopus with Canadian bacon both of which were excellent! The meal continued with a decadent... More

Reservations a must, as mentioned by others; on a cold night, arrive a bit earlier so you don't get the last table like we did. Despite a hardworking space heater in the entryway, our feet got just a bit chilly as several waves of non-reserving hopefuls held the door open for a chat before being turned away. The waitstaff explain... More

L'Affaire Ketchup is on Rue 46 Saint-Joseph, a little out-of-the-way, but worth doing, as it was our best dining experience in the City (and we went to some exclusive restaurants). Do not be put off by the name 'Ketchup'. After all, it is a fairly pedestrian topping on Hamburgers. Here, however, the expression is slang for 'We are in control",... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at this fabulous restaurant. We made reservations for the 8:30 sitting on a saturday night well in advance after reading the reviews. All of the tables were filled in this small cozy place. It was great to talk with the chef/owner and hear about the menu of the day. The flavor combinations of all of... More

L'Affaire Est Ketchup is a very small restaurant in the St-Rock district, Quebec city. No fuss there. Very very simple furniture. Only 20 seats. The kitchen is part of the restaurant. The food is up too very high expectations. The sweetbread (veal ris) as an appetizer was celestial, as the "émincé de bison" and scallops. The Bison surloin was "wow",... More
