Best boulangerie I've been to

This is a small chain in Quebec - a modern boulangerie featuring wide open white spaces, and bench-type seating. Order your baked goods from a counter, and sit at the bench seating. Stopped for a great lunch of soup and delicious fougasse. All delicious and very reasonably priced. Staff very friendly.

We grabbed some pastries on our way out of town. Absolutely delicious. The large, black coffee was mediocre. Glad we got the pastries, though.

This is not a quaint little out of the way French Bakery but the pastries and bread are excellent. Couldn't pass by without stopping. Nice selection of tasty baked goods. Good place to get a reasonably priced snack or meal. Because of this it is generally pretty crowded.

After all the quaint and charming restaurants in original buildings in Quebec, Paillard is a real contrast. It's modern and big and you serve yourself at the counter. Lovely food, not so much charm.

Quebec City is not a cheap place to eat, but for a healthy and affordable meal, you might want to try this place. We ordered the soup and sandwich combo each day (about $10) for lunch and were not disappointed. The soups are great; the bakery has a thousand temptations, and the bread and buns are easily portable, delicious even... More

The food here is delicious especially for the price. Everything we tried was good including the soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts. I wish we had a Paillards in San Diego. My only complaint is that they are so busy and successful that lines can be long and it's very difficult to find a table. It's cafeteria style table seating and... More

I used to frequent this pâtisserie when I lived here years ago, and took my partner to sample the fare. I favoured the butter croissants: a flaky simple creation that few truly master. But my partner loved the almond croissant - the paste filling was sublime and topped with chocolate drizzle , almonds & icing sugar. A "regular" must-stop whenever... More

Hands down the best croissants I've ever had. Went here twice during our recent stay in Quebec City & it did not disappoint either time! Great service, too.

My friend and I stopped by for the lunch combo which consisted of a half sandwich on ciabatta bread, a nice big bowl of hot soup, a coffee or tea and a small piece of dessert. For $10.50 including taxes, the value couldn't be better. For someone like me with a small appetite, the sandwhich size was just right. The... More
