It was hard rating this place very good or excellent because the lunch was very good, but the dessert was excellent! No I would say heavenly! We both got a sandwich, which was very good, but nothing special, but the dessert that we got was called Equinoxe and it was the best chocolate dessert that we have ever had in... More

Grabbed several baked goods here a few days. They were ok. Huge lines and overpriced. I agree with the previous reviewer. It was underwhelming at best. Keep looking. There are better places.

Came here a few times during our trip to try different pastries. There's nothing wrong with them but I think this place is over-hyped. There are a few other bakeries in Quebec (although none in Old Quebec), that have similar or better items. This may have been because we went during Labour Day weekend, but they frequently ran out of... More

Walking in Old Quebec looking for breakfast and I almost walked by this yummy find. Picked up a chocolate croissant, a blueberry danish with a café late. The coffee was perfect and the pastries were YUMMY. I think I know where I will be picking up breakfast tomorrow morning as well.

Paillard advertises being voted best croissant in the city, and I can't argue. Their light, flaky pastries, filled with delicious fresh fruits and other toppings like chocolate and nuts, were some of he best I've ever had. I washed it down with a cup of rich cafe au lair. Their sandwiches and salads looked fantastic. I also liked the restaurant's... More

Food - Breakfast croissant was flaky and delicious, just the way it should be. In fact I think it was the best I've ever had. Coffee excellent as well. Everything fresh and hot. Price - $10 got me a bfast croissant, fruit cup and double americano. Decor - spacious, modern and clean. Busy with 5 min line up. Not a... More

Best bread in Quebec! We came here for dessert, breakfast and bought sandwiches for a picnic. The food was uniformly great, from the brioche, croissant and breads, to the hot and cold sandwiches (which have great breads, obviously), to the tiramisu and macarones. Unfortunately, we felt like we spent more time waiting than eating, with separate lines to order bread... More
