Great place to eat!

The Paillard was an easy walk from the Hotel Clarendon where we stayed. They have lots of choices from sweet treats to tasty sandwiches. The price was reasonable too.

First off, the food is good. Nothing there is horrible, but you are paying for the location. The croissants and other Viennese pastries are good, I have to say that I thought the sandwiches were a bit bland, and they are pricy for what you are getting. It's to be expected, it's not as if there are many of the... More

I discovered Paillard while wandering around the old city. Looked like a good place to have lunch. Love the cafeteria style ordering and sitting. Great way to bring people together. Soup, sandwich and drink cost about $18. A little pricey, but very good nonetheless.

Great Location - Easy to navigate and amazing quality of food though the prices were a little high for what I perceived to be a casual dining restaurant little prices ran almost $40 for a sandwich/soup/drink for 2 people. Highly recommend the ham and cheese croissant as well as the artisan breads.

This looked like it could be a chain kind of like Panera on the US east coast. The sandwiches looked a little like they were made in that formulaic way that fast food is cooked so I went for the bread which was really good: crusty on outside and soft on inside. Not a dense bread but good. For a... More

Earlier reviews are correct, similar to Panera. I ordered "vegatarian" sandwich - as I pointed up to the menu, (located behind cashier/order taker). It was supposed to have a eggplant ,mushrooms ,roasted red pepper and pesto. I get to my seat take a bite of the sandwich. Alll I have is tomato, cucumber , arugula and some hummus spread on... Thank you for your comments ! Unfortunately, there seems to have been a confusion with our employee about which vegetarian sandwich was ordered at the cash register. The “grilled vegetables” sandwich, which is served hot, is indeed a Paillard bread sandwich with artichoke pesto, grilled eggplant, caramelized onions, grilled Portobello mushrooms, roasted red peppers and grilled zucchinis topped with arugula... We had our breakfast. Long queue but staff was efficient. Not too long a wait. We had their croissants and they were simply delicious. Flaky and crispy. When we went back again after some attractions sighting, croissants were all sold out and had to wait around 2 more hours for a new batch. Definitely will go back if we go... More

Had the muffins and croissants and both we're incredibly delicious. The place has a bit of a utilitarian/cafeteria feel which detracts slightly from the experience. The food was delicious and very inexpensive. If you're looking for a small snack, or a light breakfast, this is your spot!

My wife and I decided to try Paillard after a friend suggested it. We both had lunch. My wife had a salad and I had a sandwich and both were absolutely delicious!! The service is top-notch and very fast so if there's a long line, don't turn away. We decided to go back the next day but for pastries this... More

We ate at this restaurant for breakfast and they serve great breads. My favourite was the hot chocolate...WoW! A quaint place for a light breakfast!
