The soups and sandwiches are excellent, as are the fresh baked goods (lots of French pastries). They have a couple of beers on tap and lots of inexpensive menu choices. Good spot to go with family or group, as the one on Rue Saint Jean has a couple of long table that would seat 40 people each (think large wooden... More

I went there for breakfast two days in a row! I love their croissant! Very nice texture! It is also a nice place to relax. I enjoyed reading newspaper and magazines there in the morning while eating my breakfast . They also have very stable wifi.

Our family ate breakfast here twice in a row over March break and were instantly transported to France. Allowed the kids unlimited free for all on pastries, just this once (to allow adults the same privilege!). Excellent ham and egg croissant and select coffees. Why does the rest of Canada get stuck with Tim's when Quebec gets Paillard?!!!! Sigh. If... More

Paillard is a great bakery with many affordable choices. Cofee was great, and so were the pastries and breads. Must try for breakfast.

Absolutely incredible quality bread, croissants, and sandwiches. The whole family couldn't get the enough. I wish they had a location in Halifax!

It's so nice to get pastry made with real custard instead of whip cream. Our first attempt eating here was a failure. There were far too many people and it was a quite time in Quebec City. We returned the next morning. There is something so french about the premises that you feel transported back in time. The pastries are... More

Had Paillard recommend to us and it didn't disappoint. We stayed in Old Quebec for 2 nights and we ate here 5 times, 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and an afternoon tea! The pastries we had for breakfast reminded me of those in Europe. Macaroons were yummy, especially the nutella one! They also serve great sandwiches for lunch. Service was prompt... More

A great warm place to pop into when the temps drop. Whether you grab a croissant or a sandwich lunch, everything is good here. We bought our bread and specials pastries from here all the time. This is a favorite hang for tourists so expect long lines at times, but the staff move you quickly through. This is one of... More
