Friendly Staff

Once we arrived ( 20 minutes late) as we got turned around and actually walked through some back streets in a round about way, it was a pleasant experience. We had scallops, steak, pork, boulabais(spelling) and escargot. Food was very tasty and staff was excellent even though they were busy, they... read more

I was excited to try Cafe Bistro du Cap after reading all the reviews on here and I have to say my expectations were high for the food and I was disappointed. The service was great and the location was great but that was about it. I found the food to be very expensive for the quality. I will say... More

It doesn't stand out as must try restaurant from the outside but I recommend the friendly service and the food which you can watch being freshly prepared in the open kitchen. It was all delicious.

On our first visit to Old Quebec we found this small restaurant by chance and what a good find it turned out to be. The service was just right and the food from starter to dessert was excellent. I had the bouillabaisse to begin and my partner the salad. We followed with lamb shank and roast pork belly, all washed... More

We first visited this restaurant 4 years ago on a vacation in Quebec and enjoyed it so much that we went back for dinner again two days later. We were very disappointed that they were closed for vacation when we visited last year, and we have been dreaming about eating here since then. We were not disappointed. All of the food... More

Bistro Du Cap was a real find. Seared scallops in a smoked paprika sauce, followed by beef cheeks bourguignon, washed down with a nice bottle of Graves, in a welcoming restaurant. The food and service were flawless. Check this out if you are in Quebec

Went there the first night in QC. It was just around the corner from our hotel. It's a small cafe style restaurant with a classic ambiance. The food was superb as was the service.

The trick of eating in Quebec City is to find the balance between the commodity 'steak and frites' tourist traps of the upper old city, on one end, and the expensive (although great) higher end places such as Panache, on the other; or even something more toned-down than the good but industrial, high flow-through Cafe Du Monde. I found it:... More
