Panang curry is my favorite, so I rate the Thai restaurants that I frequent with the degree of the flavor of the mentioned above dish. I asked for mildly hot, well it was rather sweet. For Americans traveling in Quebec, you should ask for the medium to even feel the tang. You can Bring Your Own Bottle which is a... More

We detoured off the highway enroute to Montreal with the intent of avoiding the fast food traps and enjoy a real meal with the kids. Unfortunately, we found this restaurant does not live up to the great reviews on Trip Advisor, which frankly, is rare. We were promptly seated by a polite but sullen server. One of the waitresses reached... More

We ventured outside the Old City to this restaurant and had a good meal there. It was very reasonably priced and clearly a popular place to eat; we had to wait a little bit for a table. Service was very good. The food, while tasty, was not spectacular. Also, it's awkward to wait for a table as there is no... More

I made the reservation hoping it would be a nice experience and all family members were pleased with the food, price and cleanliness.

Food taste is Authentic. Tried both chicken and seafood spicy red curry. Service is excellent too. Bring your own wine because alcools are not offered.

I go there about every other month and never been disatisfied. The service is more family style, don't expect a Maître D' when you have a full meal for $20.00, plus I go there for the food, not the decor. It's clean and neat, I don't need more. And there is plenty on the plates. You got to make choice... More

Expectations were high after reading the reviews on this site. However, the most important aspect of any restaurant is the food. And this is where Restaurant Banlao faltered. The first dish that I ordered was the crab and asparagus soup. Watery and rather bland. The main dish was the curried shrimp. The sauce was far too watery, and the shrimp... More
