Small, personal and perfect ambiance for a romantic dinner. Food was very French with an appealing presentation and excellent quality. the staff has plenty of time to spend with you because of the limited seating. Strongly suggest a reservation. Seats fill quickly.

It was a very cold evening, glad to settle down to a warm and cozy environment. With a good wine, recommended by the waiter, knowing fois gras is banned in California, we ordered it as one of the appetizers. It was scrumptious. Then there was a long wait, probably over an hour before the waiter felt bad and brought us... More

The food was amazing! My husband and I each enjoyed all courses. We loved the unique twist on some standards. The service was absolutely outstanding. It was a tad pricey, but worth every penny! We will return!

Foie Gras (Canard Goulu) is excellent. A bit pricey but worth every penny. They serve the excellent breakfast for the Le Priori hotel. Complete and again excellent. Did I say excellent?

I'm a bit surprised at some of the less-than-stellar reviews here. Our dinner at Toast was quite good and the service was excellent! We started by splitting a Foie Gras appetizer which was very tasty. For entrees, we ordered the rack of lamb and the "mixed grill of piglet", which were expertly prepared and delicious. Highly recommended restaurant.

The place was bustling with what appeared to be expense-account diners. We had the vegetarian entrée, a clever and original plate of gougeres and veg, and the beef plate. Beef was excellent but tiny. The miniature sour-cream topped "French fries" were just silly. A pricey snack, around $100 Canadian for two entrees and 2 glasses of wine.

This restaurant did not work for us. It is oddly located in a small dark room hidden behind a curtain at the front desk of a small hotel where the hotel desk clerk does double duty as the restaurant hostess. She made sure to ask if we had reservations, which was funny since the restaurant was virtually empty. When we... More

I completely agree with this restaurant's listing as one of Fodor's Choices in our travel guide book. The dinner was wonderful. I cannot eat gluten and the wait staff and chef were knowledgeable about making adjustments to the meal to accommodate me. Also enjoyed their wine suggestions. The service was excellent and attentive, atmosphere was intimate and food was out... More

This was the biggest disappointment we had in Canada. We chose the restaurant for're staying next door at the Hotel Le Priori, but the food was far from hot. The room was very hot due to heaters and other couples who had retired from the restaurant without dinner. My husband chose Bœuf, Bœuf et encore du Boeuf and the meat... More

We made reservations upon our arrival in Quebec, having researched our choice before our trip. The restaurant is narrow and deep and is accessed through the lobby of a small hotel. As with many small restaurants, tables are closely spaced. We found that an advantage as at the neighboring table was a couple who frequented the place and gave us... More
